Market day in Bodrum is on Tuesday. If you want some serious bargains, go to Bodrum from Kos on Tuesday. You should get there about 9pm, so you'll have plenty time to spend at the market, nab your bargains, then have lunch and wander through the marina and harbour areas before you have to head back to the Flying Dolphin. Or you could head round through the main shopping area in Bodrum and have an hour or so on the small beach that runs round behind the castle.

Bodrum, I find, is actually quite similar to Kos town - but its cheaper .

Thanks for the info. We fly out/back on Wednesdays soTuesday we should really be packing, but shopping seems a more attractive option! Bodrum on Tuesday it is then!

Is the clothes market held in the same place as the veg market, which I am told is in the shopping area just up from the bus station (Otoger)?

You know what? I'm not actually sure anymore. It used to be, then they moved the clothes market to across the road and then to the right from the Dolmus station (couldn't miss it, loads of tents as stalls lining the road).
I haven't been to the market for about 3 years, and the clothes market had moved back to upstairs from the Otogar station then.

I'm sure there are other members who have been this year or last, who could tell you for sure.

Hi,Jet,yes the clothes market is held in the same place as the veg market,at the back of the dolmus station you can't miss it.
We had some great bargains when we were there in May.Lot's of great quality fake t-shirts,handbags,purses,wallets,shoes etc.You can find almost anything you wan't there,but like Elaine says be sure to get there early so you can have a real good look round!!
