We want to fly out to either to Barcelona or Rome in May with a budget airline and I was wondering when they flights are normally released for this period of time. My kids are off for a fortnight from 21st May so we have some flexibility and may be able to avoid half term.

Don't bother with a budget airline - BA have some super prices for Barcelona next May from Gatwick - see BA forum.
