If you're wanting that relaxing pampered holiday then go south... Otherwise get a cheapy off teletext ...
Thanks
I haven't stayed at the Taj Holiday Village but I know people who did and they were well pleased. You could also look at the Fort Aguada (4*) in Sinquerim. Mind you, I think half of the charm/appeal of north Goa is staying in the friendly, smaller hotels.
Have you thought about staying in one of the boutique hotels?, some nice ones in the north but a bit pricey. Do a search on the following for starters:
Nilaya Hermitage
Pousada Tauma
Casa De Goa
Presa Di Goa
Hope this is helpful, GFF xx
Hi Gemma i can personally recommend the Taj i did a hotel review if you want to check that out mine is under the name Anna and i think it was the most up to date one. At the Taj its still very personal we made some great friends in the staff and although i totally agree there is no need to stay somewhere as expensive it still feels very friendly and if like me you only get two weeks off a year you want to spoil yourself sometimes its great. Most of the guests from the Aquada use the pool at Taj. I only booked there because i was travelling alone with my 10 year old but i would definately stay there again.
I will check out all the info everyone has posted for me, thanks again.
