Its like anything else, if you want to eat in the most expensive restaurants having starters, mains, deserts and a bottle of wine from the cellar you are going to spend a lot... if you want to buy a bottle of brandy and watch the world go by from your hotel balcony then its going to be cheap as chips..
There are ten pages on this thread and as i go Sat and have yet to pack
can someone just pick the main place to go or avoid ??? this will save me having to read the full ten pages

Sorry, not helpful but, I'd avoid Protaras. Too touristy and touristy usualy equals expensive.
