Is the trip worth it in February when it's not rainy season? For the money, I want it to be worth it!

Yes the trip is worth it at anytime, the falls are magnificent anytime of the year, and you will be able to walk behind El Sapo falls (as seen in The Last of the Mohicans movie) and if the river is not in full flow you then get to walk back across over the top of the falls.

If you look under Canaima National Park HERE you will see tha El Sapo falls that you go through and also the top of them that you should be able to walk back across.

To be honest we were there during the rainy season and it was a struggle to get through the falls and many people couldn't make it and had to turn back, we made it both ways as you couldn't walk back over the top but it really was like walking through a hurricane, the noise and force of the water hitting you was an experiance but yes we would do it again.
