Hi all,
I'm looking for a decent tailor who can make me some cotton kaftan style tops/beach cover ups. Any tips on who to use, how much to pay etc? Conversely, is there somewhere I can buy these from in the Calangute/Candolim area? I've never had anything made before, so your advice is appreciated!!
Piglet
Hello piglet I use the tailor on the little lane outside the nizmar hotel ...he is very good he has done a few things for me and he is dirt cheap ...I have a picture of him on the forum holding some of the work he has done for my daughter....who is a goth.
supertailors is superb have had various suits made and we they made our wedding outfits all superb.
Super Tailors were superb had a leather coat and 2 suits made both chosen from the next catalogue
Do you have to barter with them
Scorpion is between Jazz Bar and Holiday Road in Candolim. Look at Supertailor.com.
I've found that if you haggle, they'll make extra garments - shirts, tops etc rather than make big reductions in price, although they do budge a bit!
Honestly can't remember how much my wife's tops were but they weren't much by our standards!
Quoted £80 for a suit , cashmere and wool, fully lined. Looking at the garments wating for collection I would have paid this happily but was too late in holiday to allow time for fittings

roma supertailors and scorpion tailors are the same company.
If you are buying leather jackets i would check out a touch of leather ask for rambo next to gurus and a 5 min walk from supertailors in candolim make some lovely gear. Mrs has made to measure to her own design jackets for around £50.
Regards
Peter
Thanks very much for the tips I'll look forward to grabbing loads of bargains. So far my shopping lists includes a nice white smile, clothes and possibly some diamond jewelry..................... God I'm gonna be skint
