Hi

Looking at Mirabel Club for November this year - i know it is not yet open, opens 1st November. But suppose to be very similar to Mirabel Park. Can all facilities at Mirabel Beach be used by those staying at the Club & Park? If not, what facilities can be used?

Any info would be great!

Hi guys!
The best thing to do is email your queries to the Sol y mar company and they will get a manager at the hotel to email you back - at least they did for me, and I got a helpful and courteous email from one of the Mirabel managers within a couple of days.
The email address is sales@solymar-hotels.com

Hope that helps, and let us know about your holiday. Have fun!

There is a 28 page forum on this hotel on Trip Advisor plus 25 actual reviews. We are booked for next June, looks good.

Lindsay, my sister and her fiance stayed at the Mirabel Beach in August. They are holiday snobs (ie. they love their luxury!) and have stayed at 5* resorts all over the world. They ADORED the Mirabel and count it as among the best holidays they have ever had. If you have any specific q's, I can ask her for you. She really couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Please let us know how you get on - if you can give a parent POV (we are taking our kids), then even better!

Happy hols!

Oh thanks, i will email on that add.

Im really looking forward to it.Have stayed in a 5* in eygpt before, makadi bay. I wasnt really expecting much from it, as not usually the same standards as everywere else, but it was absolute luxury!!

Cant think of any q's at the mo, but will let you know if do.

I will def let you know all about it when i get back. 8)

Hi Lindsay.
We are staying at the Beach. I would beware of the last review on Tripadvisor. The one by Dr Jones, if you look at more about Dr Jones at the bottom of the review he is in two places at the same time. They always mention a certain guy who works for a travel agency. I don't think that review is genuine although I have no reason to doubt the rest. I have notified the site but it is still there.
I am very surprised no-one has done a review on this site, wait till we all come back then they'll be there.
Happy Hols

Hi all :)
I have booked to stay at the Sol Y Mar Mirabel Park Hotel for Xmas and will report back my findings on my return. Although i have been going to sharm for many years now i haven't seen this hotel being built so i must have missed that  I don't miss many things  but they can certainly build very quickly. If anyone can provide some feedback who has stayed at the Mirabel Park i would very much appreciate there comments

Hi Fourbanks

I will be staying at the Mirabel Club in November, which i believe is to be of the same standard as the Park and have the same facilities. So i will let you now all about it when i get back.

Hi Fourbanks

Hope your all packed for your hol. I had a great time at the mirabel resort. We were booked to stay in the Club, however when we arrived it was still being built so we were upgraded and stayed in the Beach.

Both the beach and the park are really nice hotels. You will be able to use all facilities at the beach apart from 2 of the snack bars at the beach hotel, though there are snack bars in the park hotel which are just the same. We found that the Park hotel was abit more livelier at night. If youve got kids, they will love the pool slides at the Park.

Buffet restaurants are great, plenty of choice and very clean. I would give the chinese and italian restaurant a miss as you have to pay for them and they the food is just what you would get in the buffet restaurant. Neither my partner or i had any upset tummy's, which was brill and goes to show how clean it must be because usually i always get poorly.

The only thing we were disapointed with was the service of the reception staff, customer service is poor, so if you have any problems keep pestering them as this is the only way you will get any attention.

You have to take a trip into Naama Bay, we went a couple of times at night as the entertainment at the hotel is not great (this is usual for all hotels in eygpt though), there are plenty of shops and restaurants (cheap!!!). If your a football fan go to the camel bar, its run by a english family and the staff are really friendly.

If you have any last minute questions, i would be happy to help you. If not have a brill holiday!

Hi Lyndsey :)
Glad you had a great time. Do you know roughly what the taxi charge in to Naama Bay is from the hotel? Many thanks for the latest information from down there

Warm regards

Well folks we certainly did have a good time at the Mirabel resort. Like Lyndsey we were upgraded to the beach. :D

It is certainly the very best of the best that i have stayed at while holidaying in Egypt over many years now. The weather was good although a little breezy but for the time of year slightly above average i would say. All of the rooms were spotless and the food in the restaurant's a Gourmet's delight. I personally found the staff very willing and helpful.

The evening entertainment as in all Egyptian hotels was low key but none the less memorable with a talented animation team. If anyone else is going out there this spring/summer/ You can be assured of a truly excellent vacation

we are off to the mirabel beach next month have been reading a lot of mixed reviews so not sure what to expect, it's also our first trip to Sharm as we have went to Hurghada in the past.
have heard that we can use the jetty at the hotel next door now did you find that when you where there Fourbanks and Lindsay84?
Reply
You may indeed use the jetty although the jetty falls short of the reefs edge. Far better to take a short walk along the pathway to the last hotel that is being built and swim with the many fish from the beach. :D If you require any further additional information Ron then please ask.
