Hi,
We are going in August and would like to know a few things before we go. If you are there this summer then please post when you get back - if you have already been then please help if you can

We had a mossie problem last year in Olu - I took loads of stuff so was OK but I've invested in a mossie bed net this year so... are there hooks over the beds so I can put them up?
or
Would this be a waste of time as there aren't any mossies in August in Gumbet?

There are mozzies in Gumbet all summer, and if you are prone to getting bitten by them (as I am) they'll find you! Having said that, I've never had loads of mozzie bites all the times I've stayed in Gumbet. Just a few, usually on my ankles or arms when I've forgotten to use spray before going out in the evening.

                Thanks Elaine,
Last year I was like a travelling pharmacy

Lavender oil, citronella, Vit B1, garlic tablets etc. I only got 1 bite whereas some people were eaten alive.
If the hotel have bed hooks then I can take my bed nets and sleep easily without imagining things crawling on me and biting me. Mind you after a couple glasses of Raki then I don't usually care too much
