Hello all!!
I'm off to Tenerife this Friday with my boyfriend (YIPEEEEE!! can't wait)... As it'll be my first time holidaying there i wondered if anyone could give me any recommendations on all the good bars/restaurants etc to go to.
Also, is the weather still hot?? i want to come back with a tan!!
Thanks

where you staying?
We're staying at the Princesa Dacil - heard some worrying reviews about the hotel but we'll see.....!
I wouldn't worry about the Princesa Dacil. We stayed there for three nights in April and it was fine. Not the height of luxury but we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and how friendly and helpful the reception staff were. We asked for a high room and got a huge room on the 15th floor with aircon and fantastic views. We only paid for a standard room so it pays to ask, you might get upgraded. The food was fine, nothing to rave about but perfectly acceptable, with one exception. Do not have the cooked breakfast, it was awful. However, there are plenty of alternatives, cereals, various breads and rolls, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurt etc. I would advise getting to the restaurant when they start serving the meals or wait until you see the chef put out a fresh batch of whatever is on offer. Didn't sample the pool or the entertainment as we were busy doing other things. We thought it was well worth the £138 we paid for three nights half board for the two of us.
Thanks for that Cyberhiker - really helped! Overall i'm not too worried, afterall a holiday is what you make it regardless... and i intend to make the most of it
Excellent weather. I was told by some locals that September was hotter than July & August, which were mild by comparison. The weather in PDLA was 30-35C most days and only got down to 26C in the evening (I got a little alarm clock from Aldi before I went - has a built in thermometer). Some days were overcast or windy but others clear skies and baking hot.
not long now we leave on monday evening for two week's i cant wait i think it's time to pack woooooohooooooooo!...
