Can anyone tell me what day trips are available with First Choice and their approximate price. We will be staying at the Hotel Honolulu in October.
Thanks
There are a lot of trips available with 1st Choice, are you looking for a trip for just adults or one that will keep kids entertained also.
We are going with my sister and her husband and my 2 daughters, who are aged 17 and 14, so any which would be good for adults and teens would be appreciated. Thanks
We did the Pirate Night and every one loved it.
Another one we have ear marked for our next trip is Bus to Port Soleir and then a train journey through the mountains in an old steam engine to Palma where you are again picked up by bus.
There is a day trip to Palma which allows some shopping time. I think there is also a trip to Inca Market.
Any ideas about the caves of drach, as I've heard that its not to be missed, would it appeal to all ages?
Thanks
Jane
Didn't think the cave was that good. Too many people when we went and didn't get the chance to stop and look. It was like we just had to keep moving all the way down and then after the small boat show, we had to keep moving on the way out.
Did three trips with first choice. First the pirates night an absolute must.We also did the Western water park and that cost me £93 for three adults and one child but this included lunch burgher and chips etc and a drink and also each child had a t shirt free.I was unlucky in that my grandson was 12 on arrival so was classed as a child but half way through the holiday he was 13 so then had to pay adult prices. We also went on the train ride to Soller which included a boat trip, but please note there was a lot of walking involved. The Pirates night and the train trip cost me about £380 for two adults and two children. There was a trip to Inca market on a Thurs morning I seem to remember. All trips were much cheaper if booked down at resort but I found the convenience of being picked up outside the hotel outweighed the cost as it was extremely hot while we were out there.
Why pay the extortionate prices of the travel company when you can book all the trips you want in the travel shops in the resort. Me & hubby always book in these shops and save a packet. We found the caves of Drach facinating worth a visit in my opinion. Have a good holiday whatever trips you choose.
The other trip was when we booked a taxi to take us to the zoo. Now that is a good day out. You should try it. The dolphin show was fantastic.
BCM, Marineland, Pirates, Western Water and Aqualand are all a short taxi ride from Palma Nova, Magalluf and Santa Ponca and trips to Soller, Andraxt Market etc can easily and very cheaply be made on public transport. This is why the reps are so keen to get you to their "welcome" meetings, so they can flog you all the trips before you can find out for yourself how much cheaper you can book them direct.
I hate to see Holidaymakers ripped off, and the Holiday companies are the worst culprits.
Cheers
Adam
waterparks are good, there are 3 main ones on the island, western and aquapark in magaluf and aqualand in aranel. it's difficult to say which is the best but my personal choice owlud be western (directly opposite pirates).
as for other activities a lot depends on where you are and who you are with to be honest with you, kids probably wouldn't enjoy inca market so much. the perfect solution of course would be to pack them off with their dads whilst the mums go shopping.
not a big fan of nemo submarine, some kids may love the whole unique experience but for me it is rather poorly put together.
anyone stayin in the north of the islands steer well clear of the cruise the med baot trip.
one final point though the trip through the mountains (mountain express) on the train and boat etc is not to be missed, absolutely stunnig
i am traveling with direct holidays does anyone know if they do the trip which includes the train and boat and does this still run in october?
Thanks for the info everyone, it is much apprieciated.
We booked to go on one organised by them, and was told we would be picked up from our hotel and to pay on the coach. But when we spoke to someone at the hotel, they advised us not to go, as they said you are taken to a blanket shop, and that you are "forced to buy" from there . I just don't want to be caught out!
Thanks
