hi i am also going to mehtap on 24 august for 2 weeks. the hotel is right on the beach front and in my opinion the best area to be in.Craiggy 999 is the man to talk to...cheers

the mehtap has a great position on the beachfront near mcdonalds...several rooms have balconies and sea views, it has a pool as well as beachfrontage... it has 2 restaurants and a live show every night,this can be a bit noisy.

As chelsea boy said the position is the best thing about the mehtap, walk out of reception and you are on the beach.
It is a family run hotel and Ihsan the owner trys to look after his customers which are 95% british
The hotel itself is basic, rooms are cleaned daily but some not until the afternoon!
All rooms have some form of sea view with some better than others, the hotel has its own pool which is covered at night and becomes the dance floor (it is safe... Just there are also 2 restaurants the bacchus which is a general all food place andf the red dragon which is the chinese /indian restaurants, there are however LOADS of nice restaurants nearby.
