Hi Wheatcrunchie, The Flamingo Oasis is great for kids but with it been 4* and all inclusive it is obviously more expensive than some of the other hotels. It works out at £319.00 for both of you for 5 nights with http://www.wintersunshineholidays.com whom I've used before without any problems.
The same 5 days at the Sol Pelicanos which would be another good choice is £200.00 half board but they don't have an indoor pool, the Oasis do.

I'll have a look at the Oasis. Is it pretty central?
Is it nearer the back of Benidorm? Trying to think if I saw it when we were there last
I stayed there in March for 5 days and to be honest, we didn't venture out too much as there were plenty of things going on in the hotel and as much food and drink as you wanted so we didn't really feel the need although we didn't have any kids with us, it was just me and my friend.
.
If you did decide to stay there and wanted to venture a bit further, say in to the old town then the bus stop is right outside and it's 1 euro wherever you go in Beni, also taxis are cheap and plentiful too. It is a lovely hotel and I wouldn't let the location put you off. Previous to going I thought that it would be a bit far out but really, it's not. I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

the lavantie club aperments are ok and they have a small indoor pool and its only 2mins to the beach
you mentioned the crystal park - does it have an outdoor pool too, or just an indoor pool which is covered?
Can't wait to go now.
You'll be able to use the Helios covered pool, it's anly a stones throw away from the Presidente, I think that it's 3 euros for non residents although I doubt that they'd know whether you were staying there or not.
Hope you have a great time.
Sue
I think you will find that the Presidente pool is covered and heated in winter and is a great hotel!
I booked through Go2spain.co.uk. I always find them pretty reasonable.
