I have two children aged 8 and 6 and have always travelled with keycamp.
The supernova 29 is perfectly adequate for a family of 4.it has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.last year we tried the villanova and even though it was about €100 of a difference, I felt the supernova had a better layout.
My brother in law travelled with us and stayed in a 2 bedroom villagrand.Even though the living area was more spacious, there was still only 2 bedrooms, although there were 2 bathrooms. If you're going to spend extra money, you might as well spend it on a 3 bedroom, the extra room would be useful for storing cases and clothes.
The grand 29 is worth pricing! Check with keycamp about the price difference.

Hi I have stayed in supernovas for the last 2 years. The first we stayed in was a centre lounge model, 3 adults and 2 children (8 & 6). It was fine as you sat outside much of the time.Seperate toilet and shower was handy and kitchen area was fairly good.
Last year we slept in the end-lounge model and of the two this was the better model it seemed so much bigger, easier to ventilate with two seperate doors nice through draft. Only one tiny minus kitchen prep area not as big.
I hope this helps. We will be going to france this year and as we book through Leisure Direction it is always Keycamp Supernovas as our accomodation. My wifes entire family use this company year on year and have never complained about the size of supernovas as their families have expanded and grown.

Hi

We stayed in the south of france a couple of years ago in a supernova with keycamp. We are a family of four and it was fine. On the way back we stopped over and had the good fortune to stay in a grand delux (i think) anyway it was a grand.

Fantastic it was. Light and airy.

We were so impressed we booked a grand for our next holiday and took my inlaws  The accomadation was great. However you do pay the price. We're back to normal sizes and happy with them.

I would hope you get good weather when you go so you wont be in your accomadation much. What you want to make sure is if you've got a freezer to cool the beer quickly and ICE.

Good luck

Hi,

I've had Key Camps in France recommended to me as being ideal for a holiday with my children. The person who recommended it loved it, anyone else out there want to share an opinion with me?

We're doing Keycamp next summer as we couldn't get the holiday we wanted with Eurocamp. They are both owned by the same company and the kids' clubs are run jointly.
We've been doing this type of holiday for the last 5 years and we love it. Our girls are now 6 and almost 3 and the freedom it gives us is what we like about it. When they were younger we used to feed them and then barbecue once they were in bed but now we have a barbecue for us all and we then relax with books and a bottle of wine once they're in bed. We've never had a problem with noise on campsites and in fact a couple of sites we've used as overnight stops have been too quiet and miles from anywhere.
We find driving on the continent to be far more civilised than that here. Many of the motorways are toll roads so they tend to be quieter. We live near Glasgow and although it's more expensive we get the ferry from Rosyth to Zeebrugge and do our driving on the continent (this year we were in Brittany) rather than face the M6.
As well as Keycamp and Eurocamp there is Canvas Holidays and i know a couple of families who have used different companies over the years and have now stuck with Canvas as they found their service to be better. We haven't used Canvas so I can't comment on that. We've certainly never had a problem with Eurocamp.

Hi Hollywood, we have travelled with Keycamp and found them to be good, but Eurocamp, a sister company, seemed to have better laid out caravans in the supernova catagory. We discovered this in a holiday camp in N.Spain where friends were in a Eurocamp accomodation and we were in Key Camp.

With this type of holiday, we have done several, I would recommend to get the biggest accomodation you can afford, or are prepared to pay for. I would suggest the midi 29 (think that is the name) which will give you enough room.

You don't say where in France you are going, we had a holiday in the Loire du pays area in July and had several days of rain. Those are the days that you appreciate the extra space in your accomodation.
We also had a holiday in N.Spain weather much better and less time spent in accomodation. In fact there were other companies that provided decking which was excellent. I noticed that Keycamp is stating to offer decking at some of its sites now.
As elaine80 said the freedom that the holiday provides results in a relaxing holiday. There are lots of different sites out there, countryside, mountainside, seaside large and lively or quiet. Go and enjoy.
