You've absolutely no worries about the palace. I have been the last 2 years and am going again this year. Best hotel I've been to. You'll love it

After such a fantastic time was had by all at the coral sea resort,I thought that the palace looked a good change could you let me know sometime do they supply beach/pool towels I think this is added luxury.

I've just come back from this hotel last week, went on June 1st for a week.

Lovely hotel, you'll have a fantastic time for a chilled out holiday.
Pool was very cold when you first get in, but your body quickly adjusts to temperature change and its lovely after 30 seconds or so.

Glad you had a good holiday you have put my mind at rest I have read a few bad reports on other site. Could you tell me if you were allowed to use the Makadi Grand facilities?
And was the food ok.

You can use the facilities at the grand makadi, all except for their bufet restaurant.
We only ate in their italian restuarant twice during our stay (plus a few beers in the bar outside the italian), once for lunch and once for the late dinner after returning form an excursion to luxor around 22:30, was plenty of choice at the palace to keep us there.

Food was all very nice. My only complaint food wise was the state the dome restaurant gets in. The waiters don't clear the tables anywhere near fast enough & there is no waiting system in place for tables so it ends up in a bit of a state, not what you'd expect from a 5* hotel.
That said when you do get a table in the dome the food was still very nice, what you'd expect from a buffet restaurant plus they have cooking stations & carvery meats etc.
My tip would be to eat in restaurant that require a reservation to get around the free for all of the dome.
These reataurants all have dishes that carry a surcharge but also have all inclusive dishes.

I wouldn't read too much into bad reports, the hotel is lovely and you'll have a great time.
