My daughter and her friend are very keen to visit Club Cubanna during their holiday especially as they now know that Wednesday is ladies night and admission and drinks are free. Can anyone tell me what time the fun starts as I see it has a pool etc. and was wondering if it opens during the day as well as being a night club, also could a visit to the club be tagged on to a visit to Anjuna market on Wednesday or are they some distance apart? Thanks in advance. Lenny

Hi Scrumpy,

Cubana doesn't get going until late as with most clubs out here. "On the Rocks" in Baga also has a Ladies Night on Thursdays, they call it
"Cats Night", Felines are FREE and Tomcats pay RS600/- Starts from 10pm - On the Rocks is a very nice club with lovely outside cabanas to chill and dancefloor inside with A/C

Ive never had the chance to go to any of the clubs. I was only about 14 when i first started going to Goa so my parents wouldnt let me go to any of the clubs. where there any clubs in Goa 10 years ago?
And obviously i cant go now as ive got my son

Cubana did cloe down last season but is very much open for business now.

Girlie-girl,
On the Rocks is next to Mambo's on the beach Road. It opened last season - very nice place and getting quite popular this season.

when we went to club cubana the music was like cheesy european house and somet echno aswell! spent most ot he time drinking next ot the pool1 good night out though!

wednesday was the best because it cost me nothing but the taxi fare there and back with it being ladies night!

I just love thw big double beds with the little table in the middle at club Cabana! best bit for me.....oh and being served from the back of the queue on wednesday nights (ladies night!!) when they shout out ' Ladies first' as you hover behind a crowd of guys!!!! and they serve you first!! I Loved that too :lol:

..............so did my huusband and his mate!!! lying on the bed whilw we got the drinks!! :rofl

What is the taxi situation when visiting Club Cubanna or On The Rocks? Is it best to hire a taxi for the return journey as well and get them to wait until you leave the club or are there plenty of taxis available outside the clubs? :roll:

there are as everywhere thats popular an abundance of Taxis outside, BUT remember get a price first & make sure you are happy with it,

There is a taxi price list when you come out of the club ....so that will tell you what to pay .............a funny thing happned to us we knew what the taxi was going to cost ..but when we got out he asked for much more .............no way said my hubby the price is ...bla bla ...bla...but the driver said yes but now is night time .........yes said my hubby but the disco is shut in the day time and nobody will want a taxi then :rofl
