hi, beaches in the south probably do have nicer sand but don't think there's much difference in the colour of the sea, not as clear as the med.

Hello!

Yes the sand is quite white in the south and the beaches very beautiful, but the sea is just the same muggy green colour as in the north. And the same sort of problems with strong under tows so always take care in the sea.

South Goa is much nicer (IMO) the beaches are less busy and perhaps lighter in colour, the sea tends to be calmer in the crescent shaped bays (like Palolim etc) it's nice for swimming and isn't too bad, but not exactly clear, but nice and warm... good for just relaxing and floating...

Enjoy

Just read that Palolim was in the bourn identity 2 film. I remember wondering where about in goa it was. I thought it was Baga first time I watched it

Please make sure you wear a helmet, otherwise the police will have a field day. Not sure about renting but you can buy them for as little as 450 rupees, only the driver is required to wear one by law.

To be honest i'll probably where it in the North to. Better be safe than sorry.

It cracks me up when you see four people and their dog on one scooter. The police arn't bothered about the locals.
