hi jambo, the wife and i have been to MD 4 times and its a great hotel. there are loads of great restaurants around. You will get info on them on this site, have been to cubanas and they tried to serve us drinks with no alcohol, thats one thing that you need to watch in all the clubs in Goa. We were in Mambos in November and I had to go back to the bar to get voddie in my vodka and coke. Dont want to down the clubs but its happened to us more than once. We might be in Goa in March but its earlier in the month.

Thanks for the info Bobbsy, will watch out for that one. Might just stick to Tiger beer - ha.

Looks like I'll be getting a taxi then at that price.

Any idea were the best place is to change sterling Bobbsy and do they change Scottish notes ?

Cheers

There are many good places to change sterling. We used the hotel to save carrying my passport around. You can change a small amount in the airport before you get in the taxi not a good rate but for the taxi fare. Scottish notes are no use, English or dollar notes are the currency.
Hopefully your team dont do too well on Saturday!

hi jambo the malarias that we use are the chloroquine & proaguanil you can get from chemists. Take them 1 week before you go and the time in Goa, then for 4 weeks after your return. A good cream for moscito bites is Odomos which you buy in Goa as soon as you get there, just ask your taxi driver to stop at a chemist and use it in the evening, as you may read on this website, the bleeders can bite. Sorry cant help with motorbikes.

Thanks Bobbsy, I've been reading the forums about malaria and get mixed reports :?: . I think i will get the ones you mentioned from boots and if i feel ill i will stop taking them. I will also get the cream soon as i arrive. I will be getting a taxi from the airport anyway, so hopefully their is a Chemist on the way through. Will also stock up on upset stomach tablets - any tips :?:

Cheers for the help,
