We have also looked at the Lemon Tree hotel and in our opinion if you want a lovely hotel/retreat and spend 150 a night then go to the Nilaya in Arpopra. This is a far more special place to stay and in a lovely area in the hillside. We had 5 nights there last year for a special occasion and had a truly wonderful stay.
Friends of ours staying for the season had a look round the LT last week and when they commented to the manager it was a bit expensive. He said they were not bothered about the Europeans and just wanted wealthy Indians from the North........Good luck to them!!
Would be most grateful if someone could let us know where about the Lemon Tree is (in relation to the River Princess and any fresh reports of the hotel).
Our hotel that we have reserved for Feb has had it's beach completely decimated so may decide to move prior to arrival. It looks like the Lemon tree is the only beach hotel with vacancies for a month Feb/March. On top of that it looks like we will be sweating over BA cabin staff striking!
Many thanks,
Pat.
It is about 300-400 metres from the beach.
Great central location for restaurants in Candolim.
Have googled the hotel but very few reports about it, they are asking $200 nightly but I noticed that it's star rating varies from 2 to 3. That is the same rate as the two Taj hotels in Sinquerim.
Has anyone stayed here?
Thanks Fiona! I tried using the search but couldnt find this thread!!
Alan
