I have posted about Bonos before and am currently in Candolim at the moment. I visit Bonos nearly every day apart from days out and think it's fantastic! The food is yummy, they do an excellent mash potato - very English I know but it goes really nice with a curry! They are very busy at the moment but it doesn't show as the beds are really well spread out. Also the toilets are the best on the beach!

Got to agree with Sandyshoes, Bono's toilets are the best on the beach. We have been going to Bono's for about 4 years now and the toilets were the reason we started going in the first place. But credit to Bono - he has really pushed the boat out this year.
We have seen the size of the shack increase three fold over the years but you still get the same friendly service from Virginia and the team.

We've being going to Bono's for about 8 years now and yes it gets smarter every year.
However, all this popularity has a downside - slow service. :(
We find that we now have to order our food and give a time - so at 2 pm I'll order what we want for a 3 pm serving.

I disagree with Sandyshoes - I think he now has too many beds, there are beds right down to the sea now. There are even extra beds being squeezed in between the palm frond brollies.

Bono - you are getting greedy! :(
Each shack has a strict limit on the number of beds BTW.

We used Bono's shack quite a lot in January. At first service was very slow - about 45 mins for a coffee. Then we said we wanted it a bit faster and things took a turn for the better but they definitely look after you.

HI lardyhead

if you walk down Beach rd,go as far as the beach turn
right and Bono.s shack is about 6 shacks along ,
we were there last dec the first few days the sun beds
were free then they started to add them on to our food
& drink bill,we are not big drinkers but always had lunch
a few soft drinks and maybe a pancake & coffee before
leaving so spent a fair amount, maybe they charge as to
what you spend,[they make super pancakes try them with
honey]

It is true they have now added a few more beds while we were at the end of our holiday, but to be honest it wasn't as busy so there was no need to worry. But this is nothing compared to most of the shacks at the end of the beach road it's wall to wall sunbeds and more or less nearly touching the sea!

You do have to wait for the food but I have found that at most beach shacks and the ones I didn't wait long the food wasn't as good. All I do is order the food from my sunbed and ask them to let me know when it's ready that way you can sit suning yourself until your hearts content!

They do sometimes charge for the sunbeds but for the facilities it's definately worth it - the cushions are a lot comfier than other shacks!

Bono and his wife do look at this website as I showed them last time I was there, so they really appreciate your comments good or bad!
