read reviews of the changing face of luxor, just wanted to ask anyone who has been there recently their views. staying at mecure inn hotel ( nothing posh, but please don't think badly of me!! )

Was there a year and a half ago and cant imagine Luxor looking like anything but something stepping back 100s of years... dont think you have too much to worry about!
hiya was there in august and swore id never go back (she said!!) as theres loads of building work going on all round near macdonalds and near the train station all the roads are up and it looked like a bomb site!!(but dont ask me how many times iv been to luxor!!!!)
my fave cafe salt and bread was closed,
going back june!!
