Thanks for that djk, sounds a bit more reassuring :) Although I could do with wasting away a little he he.

Wondered what larger it was to be honest, or if there is a choice? As long as its cold i'm not too mithered to be honest :)

It was cold allright!! Can't remember the name though.....It won't be anything you will recognise from the UK. On your outings from WP you will see 2 main lagers.....Kingfisher (a bit weak, but they have a 'gold' version I think)....and Kings(a bit more potent)....wife has asked me to point out that we had gone 13 days before discovering Irish Coffees were all inclusive........cheers

Never go all inclusive in Goa unless you like eating half cold buffet food we stayed at the Whispering Palms Christmas 06 and it was awful I would give it a miss

I have already recommended not going AI- but sometimes it was what people who have not been to Goa feel safer with.

I've booked to go in November. And as I posted people said do not go AI in Goa.

But as you mentioned Fiona, it helps first timers feel at ease.

When we go, we may well eat out every day, nothing saying we have to stay or stop there.

lassigirl if you were there in December 2006, any chance that you could post some photos and give a little review please? And any info on what's included within the AI?

Cheers

Hi salford!
Should have said 2005 sorry
I have written a reveiw in the Hotel section.
Our main problems were dirty serving utensils, almost cold buffet food, dirty tables ,and lack of crockery most days at breakfast. The Hotel had just opened 40 new extra rooms but the restaurant and bar areas had not been enlarged. We spent very little time in the Hotel but as i remember all the local beers and spirits were included ,anything imported is extra. They were also running a bar at the front of the Hotel where pretty girls served drinks this was definately not in the all-inclusve, so was empty! Many Guests at this time were complaining of tummy problems.
Hope things are better now, I know a lot of people say its India what do you expect, but basic standards of hygiene should be maintained in a so called 3 star hotel.

:) You can always try the Mermaid, Mai Thai or Colours of Spice for decent food and drink - they are all down the same road.
