hi
any body stayed in this hotel recently we would like to be aware of all the pros and cons as we are goa virgins so what is in the hotel ie shops whats the food like and most importantly what is the beer like as we are all inclusive
regards
derek
stayed there last year, imo the hotel is dated and in need of a lick of paint. The room I stayed in was at the front of the hotel, not good as the noise from taxis outside is awful. The breakfast was ok however it was outside and you were joined by 50 million flies in the morning.
The good thing about the Whispering Palms hotel is that it is very close to the beach. Literally 5 minutes away. Also at the top of the Whispering Palm Hotel Road there is this fantastic shop called 'Chocolatie' it has the most amazing chocolate brownies. (I'm a chocoholi though).

Any help at all would be gratefully apprieciated. We can always use any donations that people would like to bring over. As for letters from your children.... I am sure that the children we work with would love to hear about the different lives of other children and will probably want to write back to them.
If you do need any excess luggage then please let me know and we might be able to arrange it with the airline for you.
i will keep the excess allowance in mind i know i will need it for the return trip
i will start organising bits and bobs now 11 months to fill a case and with 6 of us i am sure we will find plenty of spare space

Dont know about the Whispering Palms I'm afraid and I know a lot of people on this site dont like AI. We went AI at the Heritage Village and it was really super, the food was great and of course you could just get up and go to the bar for a drink whenever without handing over money. Also as the food is so cheap in Goa we ate out about four times as well so we had the best of both worlds.
Enjoy your holiday
Sue
i think £700 for all inc is a bargain and by the time i have drank my way through 2 weeks i will have got most of my money back and hopefully most of the wifes

We paid £700 as well Derek and both me and my hubby like a drink it was well worth the money. We are going to Turkey in September but not All inc and he has worked it out that it is going to cost us a lot more than our holiday in Goa, bearing in mind Turkey is cheap as well.
we spent best part of £1500 for a weeks b+b in ibiza on package, food and drinks
del
just done a quick tot up off the top of my head, 2 weeks b/b in Candolim came to £1520 for everything except diamonds. I ,too enjoy a Kingfisher or 4 and always have a full meal at evenings (3 courses, wine and brandy etc), so i agree with previous mentions of AI being superfluous.
I bet when you go back to Goa after the holiday (because you will!) .that you go B/B.
As per your previous, we can certainly meet up for a HT drink, we could easily be taking over the resort
del
not much difference in overall costs and 1400 for the two of us + extras for a little variety
i can see the benefits of b+b
i see the light

We are going on the 15th September to Marmaris. We went there three years ago because we had our 17 year old daughter with us and thought we had better go somewhere with a bit of night life. We had a lovely place only 32 apartments and really clean it was also well away from the night life if we wanted a bit of peace but a dolmus ride away if we felt lively. It was so nice this is our third time back. What date do you go
Sue
we are going to candolim goa i think it is del you need to be directing your question to
derek
OoooooPS sorry you are right Derek I meant to type Del, I was trying to be too clever early in the morning.
