Hi, I think Olu Deniz in September will be ideal for you. My daughter and her husband took my grandson there a week before his first birthday which was September and they had a super time. The evenings might be a bit cooler so take a jumper for him. The resort will not be shutting up and all the restaurants and shops will still be going strong. I would stay in Olu itself all the hotels are good and I have stayed at the Karbel and it was very nice. If you stay in Hisaranou you would have to catch the bus up and down to the beach with all the things you need for the little one. My daughter found the sandy beaches at the lagoon good for her son, she found it a bit slippy for him at the pool and found the beach easier. I am sure he will cope with the flight take some new toys and books for him and some nibbles, hopefully he will have a nap. It might be worth booking a private transfer and they provide baby seats if you ask we found this a lot quicker and easier with the little ones they cost about £70 return. I am sure you will all have a great time.

i agree with what lady has said, we love olu deniz, ive been taking my little daughter to turkey since she was 6 mths old and have never had a problem, sept is a lovely time to go, my mother lives there and says its 1 of her favourite months, weather still hot but not unbearable, we like suara beach part of the lagoon, its like a millpond, warm and calm and shallow so ideal for little children, they do free transfer from the hotel and back too as its a good 20 mins walk, i personally think you would be better in the karbel its got great reviews and nearer the beach area, you could walk to the main beach in a few mins but its fairly pebbly so the lagoon would probably be better, good luck

Thank you very much the both of you, that will help me a great deal.
We had booked to go to the club orca about 3yrs ago but it was cancelled the day before due to my wife falling ill. So i think it would be a nice surprise to take them there because she was so looking forward to it.

Kind regards,
Chris :D

hi cbcoumbe
the weather in september should be fine for a two year old although it can be still very warm so if that is an issue maybe staying at the orka in ovacik would be better as it is always that bit cooler,
the karbal group of hotels are fine and have a good reputation as does the orka
or there are plenty of others in the area that would meet your needs,
as ellie said a private transfer is money well spent as a tour op coach can take up to 2.5 hrs to get to your hotel
hope this is of some help please feel free to use my web site for information of the area

Hi
I think you would enjoy Olu as its nearer the lagoon for the little one. The beach loks so beautisul but is stony and shelves sharply. Sugar beach on the lagoon would be perferct for you (or Suara beach next door)free minbus there and back. Hisonaru is a lovely base but if you want the beach then its a bit of a trek.
Travelling with a baby is always better if you can get them to sleep! If so the flight will be no problem as long as you have plenty of favorites and treats for when they wake up.
I also always gave a prophylactic dose of calpol an hour before landing as most toddlers will get some earpain when the cabin pressure changes. Soon forgotten though.
Hope you have a great time wherever you chose

We took my son to Florida (Tampa) when he was 19 months old and he was fine, he was a dummy sucker so no problems with ear pressure. He used to have one in the mouth and couple in each hand. However, a preventative dose of pain killer won't hurt. We were always advised to give a preventative dose just prior to them getting their shots but then we are talking 12 years ago and things have changed. Having said that I think that was also the advice with my youngest who is 7 next month.

Little snacks like a mini box of rice crispies keeps them occupied. Four hours will pass pretty quickly.

Thanx for that advice i will make sure he has a few little bits and bobs to have and play with on the plane. He doesnt have a dummy so will go for the calpol option. Thought about a night flight so that he would sleep through most of it, what does anybody think? :)
Thanx again

we took our 2 year old to lanzarote last year in august. it was a 4 hour flight , it was a night flight on the way back and he slept all the way!!! make sure you ask for a blanket and pillow for him as soon as you get on the flight because they run out very quickly.
we have taken our little one on holiday since he was 14 months and aslong as you have drinks, snacks and a few new toys/books that he hasnt played with before and any comfort things that he likes youll be ok.

we are also going to turkey but in august and its a night flight so hopefully our little one will sleep the whole way again!!!!!!! :D

Hi

We took our 2 when they were both under 18 months,a night flight is a good idea,it worked for us,we also gave them Calpol as a precaution.
