We went up to the Aldwych to get the visas on Wednesday (17th Jan). Queued at 07:30 drowned by 07:45 (It poured down). Got into the lower room around 08:50 and walked out at about 10:50 with the visas. Although it was very busy, 2 hours from getting let in to getting the visas seems pretty good.
They didn't let too many in at one time despite the pouring rain. May give up the pioneering spirit next time and post our applications.
Roll on 18 Feb BA199.
Regards
Sent off my applications for visas last Friday (12th) to Edinburgh and received them back today. Well chuffed, didnt expect them for at least another week. All excited now. Roll on March 22nd
thanks

I am sure your Visas will be returned shortly, fingers crossed
Hi Lardyhead1 - our visas arrived at London 5th January and postman tried delivering them yesterday. Took exactly two weeks from arrival there to arrival here. We collected them from Post Office this morning. Strangely though, the date of issue was 9th January so don't know why it took so long to get back to us.
My parents sent for theirs two weeks ago Thurs just gone and receved them special delivey this morning as did our friends who sent them two weeks ago wed just gone. I sent mine the following Tuesday so hoping that they come back this week by Thursday!
missed the postman sat morning ,,was thinking it could be a ebay item but there again it might be my passports back because it needs a signature, will have to wait till monday now
we've always taken a day off work, driven up to Birmingham ,got there for 8.30 am, handed in completed forms etc. Go for a meal, return at 1pm collect visas and go home.not bad as we've been shopping as well. Also you can renew visa even though the old one has not expired. We're jealous of all you lucky people leaving so soon, we must wait until December until we can go again only next time it will be 4 weeks minimum. HAVE GREAT HOLIDAYS EVERYONE
Received mine Saturday, took exactly two weeks.
It's sooo cold as well - I just hope he gets them today as I think they only issue 1000 per day and then only up to midday!
So folks if any of you are planning to go to London in person get there early and don't drink too much liquid before you get there as you could be in for a long cold wait.
my visa got to london on 8th jan and got them today visa issue 13 th jan it took so much long this year im happy now flight out on 17th feb from heathrow
I'm quite impressed it only took 2 hours from when the doors opened at 8.30am to get through that many.
