Hi all
This is my 1st post, so go easy. Looking to go somewhere like Ibiza in 6 week holidays with my 10 year old son. However, my son is not the type of kid to sit quietly on the beach. He has to be doing something (Playing with other kids, waterpark etc), so a busy resort with lots of English families is a must! I have read the other post about lively resorts, but the last one was aimed at teenagers. If I can be a bit difficult, and not too selective, I would prefer a resort where there is not massive groups of drunken English idiots (That was me 15 years ago). From what I have read, Es Cana sounds ideal. Am I correct?

While your waiting for personal recommendations have a browse through our resort reports for Ibiza by Clicking Here
Sirenis Seaview Country Club sounds right up your street!!
We went there with our 2 kids last year (son was 10yo) and we forgot what he looked like by the time we came home.
Stacks to do for kids, loads of other kids to play with, no drunken yobs everywhere as its a good 10 minute walk to the main resort of Port D'es Torrent but still close enough to walk into the resort fro a night out or to walk into San Antonio Bay which is another 10 mins down the road.
We were going to go back this year but have decided to try something different instead and go to Bulgaria, wish we'd booked up for here though!!

Es Cana is a small but quite lively resort that is suited to families. No drunken yobs ect.Weve been 4 times in the last 5 years and are going again in August.First took our daughter when she was 11 and she loves it.
Shes 16 now and loves it for other reasons such as Charlies bar were lots of teenagers gather at night.
The resort is small and you can be anywhere in 5 minutes so it's nice to let her have some freedom and not be worried.
If you want any more info just ask.

Having stayed at most of the hotels in Es Cana , Iwould have to go with the Ereso , 2 pools , plenty of entertainment for the kids , 6 a side pitch etc... then I would have to go for the Caribe , again plenty for the kids cheers ..Paddy
I would agree with Paddy about the Ereso, weve been there twice but last year we stayed at the Caribe and found there to be more English families than there seemed to be in the Ereso. The Ereso seemed to attract a lot of Italians now.(not that its a bad thing - i'm just thinking about Willianrobb88 wanting English kids around)
Thanks for the replies guys. Its Ibiza! My mind is deffo made up, and the 6 a side pitch definitely sways it! Not decided which hotel yet though. another question is, who's the best/a decent tour company to go with? By this I mean which companies actually go there? Yet another question is, Waterpark???? And finally another question. As you lot probably are aswell, I am on a budget, so was wondering should I book it now? book it in Feb? Wait until a week before? Book flights and accomodation seperate? Book a complete package??

To do this we'd need to know:-
Which airports you can fly from
How many travelling and ages of children.
Roughly what dates are you thinking of going on
How long for.
To say I'm impressed with this service is an understatement! 6 replies within a couple of hours! Cheers!
As for my holiday, here are a few details:
We can fly out on ANY DATE between the following dates:
August 5th 2007 - August 12th 2007
August 25th 2007 - August 29th 2007
The duration is 7 days
I can fly from Manchester or Liverpool
I am a single parent, so the persons travelling are:
Me (Male 36 years old)
Son (Male 10 years old)
I don't mind Accomodation board(Half, Full, B & B or SC)
I would prefer one of the hotels similar to the ones mentioned previously in this post (Lots of kids/families), or another which is in a similar district, with similar facilities for kids.
As I'm on a budget, I just tried searching for flights and accom seperate, but accom was very expensive!
Flights working out at £275 with Jet2 for us both, but hotels are working out at about £700.
Is this the going rate?
Should I book a package?
Should I try and book accom and flight seperate?
As for transfers, I'm not sure if they are required, or would a taxi suffice?
Basically, that's it.
Es Cana 5th to 12th
Miami Hotel £525 Half board for 2 with Hotels R us (I stayed here a long time ago and the position is great - right on the beach)
Below are via Hotel connect
Anfora Playa (Es Cana) B&B £359.10 (For 2)
Mar y Huerta (Es Cana) half board £385.70 (For 2)
Click Here to read our reviews of the above hotels
5th August - 12th August, in Anfora Playa, Ibiza. Buffet Breakfast included.
Cost of this was £309.98 (I got the original price discounted even further by booking online-5% discount, and getting 8% cashback via quidco)
Flights were £310 inc.
Jet2 from Manchester to Ibiza
Therefore, I got the whole deal for £620, for me and my son!
Brilliant!
Once again, thanks a lot you guys!
This should be a lesson to everyone! A bit of searching and asking the right questions to the right people can save you a fortune!

Thanks Wilson, and to every one else.

Don't forget you'll need transfers ie taxi or arrange a pick up, from and to the airport.
