Up in a valley above Nuweiba today, we were fortunate enough to watch a Camel Race !

24 camels in the line up, hundreds of Bedouin pick-ups and jeeps, over a thousand Bedouin spectators spread out over the valley.

Then the off.... a dash down the valley over three kilometres to the finishing post - a tree in the middle of the valley ! With all the bedouin chasing after in their jeeps and pick-ups !

Frankie Dettori eat your heart out ! What good fun. I'd have been stuck who to bet on though as I always go for the grey one when watching the gee gees on tele with my Dad.
