Holiday Complaints

When you were booking the holiday you were told that another balance was due 4 weeks later.......even though youve now received something else, I really feel you should contact them and pay the amount required, after all its what you thought you would be doing in the first place!

Even if they wont cancel the booking if you DONT do that, you must have planned to have it available when required, and surely its better to pay it and get it out of the way? They wont charge you twice for it and it will be less to pay shortly before you go.

In other words, maybe someone has made a booboo with the booking, but surely its better to pay this and have peace of mind about it. :D

dont think its an error as there are a few of us that have booked portland holidays at different times and it seems the same story ,maybe they are more laid back who knows, if they send an invoice to you with a date of final payment and total and not asking for the remainder of the deposit then surely they cant cancel your holiday as they should have stated on the confirmation sent to you that the rest of the dep needs paying, i booked online and im going on the information thats been sent to me, mines not a huge amount of money but i would rather have it in my bank getting a bit more interest especially when ive got a few hols to go before this portland one in oct lol, sounds like they would have a lot of holidays to cancel if the did cancel everyones that hadnt paid full dep !!! im going to risk it as i know a few people that havent paid full dep and all has been ok ,but its up to the individual but i can see what your saying tootsie its got to be paid sometime lol, just the further away the better for me lol

Unfortunately for me I just book away and worry about how im going to pay later. :roll: The funds are never available when I need them, just my trusted friend the credit card. this year i have actually managed to save in my building society account the money for our Egypt flights . my portland holiday is way off in July so I will get away with paying as little as possible until i have to and worry about it after our Egypt break. I know my booking is safe at the moment anyway as i have received 4 letters changing flight times.

Eclipse remembered to ask for the remainder of our low deposit, two days before Christmas! - I had completely forgotten about it :oops:

Hi all jst to say i have received a reminder and paid the rest of deposit. I would hate then to cancell our holl. I only posted to see what people thought the legal implications would be out of interest.
