One of the many reasons I love Goa so much is for the great shopping , the same reason I love Marrakech and I was wondering what are other HTers favourite buys?
When I was there in December these are some of my purchases.........
6 solid silver bangles from the tibetan market in Calangute - 1200 rps
a lovely black Ganesh printed sarong from a stall in Baga - 100rps
some Biotique saffron youth dew as recommended by another Hter - it is lovely and only 180rps - bought from a supermarket in Calangute.
2 pairs of spangly leather flip flops for 350 rps - Anjuna market.
Several beautiful gemstone pendants of varying sizes for my silver choker, including a moonstone and an amythist one from jewels and gems on the Candolim beach road.
A very solid large pair of silver dangly earrings from Jewels and gems Candolim beach road.
2 georgeous spangly beach bags - one turquoise , one pink from a lovely bag stall on Dr C alfonso road in Calangute - 350 rps.
Some great black pants that wrap round like a sarong for 250 rps from a stall in Calangute, the lady turned them up while I waited! they are lovely and I wish I had bought some more in white.
A beautiful silver bracelet which is very heavy with blue topaz stones, from Anjuna market - still cannot believe the price , it was about 1000 rps.
I got some different little laquer boxes from various places which are so pretty and brightly coloured , they cost about 150 rps each and I thought they will be good for putting little pressies in for ladies.
I also got 10 skirts over the course of a fortnight and most did not cost more than £2 , they are probably not great quality but great for holidays.
A lovely wooden box from Rajastani souvenir shop , not far from the Rock Cafe in Calangute, this cost 350rps.
Some wooden balls of different colours which are sold by the tibetans on Anjuna market - they are beautiful colours and highly decorated with brass , I bought 10 for 1500rps, they look great arranged in a large bowl.
Also got some skincare - moisturizer creams by shahnaz hussain which seems good from The elephant shop in Candolim.
Lots of incense sticks at 17rps a pack from The Lila cafe Arpora.
A massage ball form palolem beach which is imprinted with Om.
I could go on as I really did buy loads this time , as I said I love shopping , but if I had to choose one favourite thing it would be a georgeous battered looking ornate wood and brass frame from the Rajastani Souvenir shop in Calangute - it is beautiful and only cost 800 rps, I dont know what I am going to put in it yet but it is beautiful, anyway sorry to ramble on I just wondered what your favourite Goa buys are ???

Its a Jimmy Choo called 'Romana' I actually got 2 a brown and a black, have a look on the web therese loads of picures of it, I knew which i wanted before I went which is a good thing cause there are so many to choose from. Sorry dont know name of shop i got it from but it was a street just off Baga Road, the street you turn up to go to Bernards Place and the shop was the first bag shop on the right hand side! Hope that helps!
Daughter bought lovely Jimmy Choo from Diva in Candolim- wish I'd got 1 but too busy with afterthoughts. Bought loads of flip flops, trinket boxes long kaftans, skirts, ruby and diamond ring from Guru and like Shirley v plenty of Biotique products.
