hi all well had a good sleep and now ready to report on our stay in goa we flew from heathrow with gulf air got to say that they were brilliant the staff and the food lots of legroom all for £289.00 return well arrived in mumbia int airport and to say the least was shocked not what i exspected from a int airport very few facilities but there you go got flight down to dabolim with spice jet which took less than 1 hour. Jumped a taxi yippi were on our way arrived at the seashell was greeted with a nice cold fresh orange which was well needed taken to our room which was fresh and clean :) It was now around 4oclock we went to the mango grove in candolim to have a drink and see all our old friends nothing had changed everyone still there how wonderful to be back i thought it is like coming home.Next day we went to hire a bike [only a moped] we went to mandarim beach and turtle beach and spent the day relaxing. Next day up early had breaky in mango grove and set off for don a paula never been before so was looking farward to what we may find the scenery along the way was breathtaking we stopped at a few little villages along the way and just watched them going about ther daily lives which amazed us how simple they live there lives it makes you realize how complicated ours are Arrived at don a paula it has a little harbour and the bay curves round it is very pretty no tourist to be seen [not that there is anthing wrong with tourist i am one myself :) there was a small market along what i would call the pier strangly selling all childrens cloths we bought 2 sandwiches 4 samousas 2 waters and 2 apple cakes and it cost us 40rs :o well sorry more tommorow hubby due home from work must feed him hope i did not bore anyone

well sorry everybody been so busy not had chance till now well were was i up to oh yes we were at dona paula we managed to find our way down to the beach there was not another soul to be seen we strolled round the bay it was very hot and as the sand was wet from the tide there wasn,t anywhere to sit in the distance we saw a building at the end of the bay as we got closer we could see there was a covered sitting area with large gates leading up to it with a few lads working i said to hubby i am going to be cheaky and ask if it was possible to sit in the covered area inside to cool off [you dont get if you dont ask i thought] they never hesitated to welcome es inside [so sweet that what i love about the goans they will go so far to make you happy] as we walked up the steps we could not belive what we found it was the most beautiful place we had ever seen the gardens were stunning it had hammaks hanging from the coconut trees with a coverered sitting area which was what we had seen from the beach it looked over the sea and the whole of the bayit was beautiful all you could hear was the waves and the mumer of the lworkers in the background we sat for about 4 hours and both dropped of to sleep which was well needed. because that morning we were both having doughts if we had done the right thing let me exsplain we had gone back to goa to get the handover for the apartment we had purchased 2 year earlier yes we wre over the moon with it we had waited so long for this mommemt to arrive but then the fun started we needed to get fans boilers etc etc ect we were now in our second week so did not have alot of time the puchasing was easy as it always is it was getting things done that was the problem they would arrive to do the job and create 2 more in the process it was so streesful we knew what others had told us about dont exspect it to go smoothly tomorow in goa could mean next mounth but everyday seemed to create another problem hence have we done the right thing after our day at donna paula we never questioned it again i think we had learnt that we are in goa and have to except things are very differnt next instalment soon :)

Hi Toe
I know just what you mean. We went in September for two weeks for our handover and spent every bleddy day trying to get things done, and still came home with load of unfinished things. You don't think about all the jobs that need doing until you get there!!
We have now decided to go for seven weeks at the end of Feb and get everything sorted and have a proper holiday for the last month or so.
Otherwise I feel doing it in dribs and drabs is just going to eat into our holidays everytime.

We have bought a house in Nerul. The build is all finished now but we have loads and loads of jobs still to do. Spent two weeks in September like headless chickens. Did'nt realise that they come so unfinished internally!!
Where abouts is yours?

Hi toe
No its not one of Shelleys, although I have seen his building work and was very impressed.
To get to ours you turn left at Nerul Junction (where you would normally turn right to Cocoa Beach). Follow the lane to the end and ours is in a small development of three houses.
