This is a route I do (too) often.
Its about 115 miles and apart from the bit at either end it is all motorway. The motorways in Cyprus are nothing like as busy as the motorways in the UK though. Nice easy drive, as Kath says about a couple of hours. I do it in 2, but allow a bit more and enjoy the journey

Thanks for that - don't think they were planning on driving that far. Is there any local transport such as there is in Turkey that may be workable?

Unfortunately, bus services in Cyprus are few and far between.

That said, in the Summer season, there are lots of places that run trips all over the island. This may be a better option for them if they don't want the hassle of hiring and driving.

I would recommend Sua and Lisa at LS Travel in Pernera. Shop sign says "Christina Travel". Its almost next to the Isaacs Hotel and Herbies Diving Shop. Tell them Ady from Deryneia sent you and you might even get a discount (or they might even add some on )
