Yes, agree with Lyn definately nothing like Turkey, in terms of activities outside the hotel, so perhaps an FC holiday village might fit the bill as presumably it will be English dominated with more chance of the girls making friends.
Last year at the Crowne Plaza though great during the day, 5 pools and the beautiful sea, in the evening it was 'dead' just the a la carte restaurants and a cafe with the shisha pipe's you can smoke which we didn't fancy. For a bit more life you had to go to Namma Bay.
Most people are tired from their diving/snorkelling or trecking 500 miles to Cairo on a coach the day before to be much bothered. But it might be a problem for a 15 and 13 year old, particularly over 2 weeks, not so bad for 1 week though. There are quad bike trips in the desert and bedouin evenings from the TO's. Not much shopping though so that makes it a bit cheaper.lol
we are not really into nightlife so as long as we can go into the main areas to eat ,nose around and buy shoes we will be fine. As long as the girls make some friends and can lurk around we will be happy.
Have just spent a very happy hour with my head deep in brochures - I love it

just been looking at the Holiday village with the swim up rooms . looks cool not a lot more to go on Yet but thats sold it to me.
One of the good things about that end of Sharm I beleive is that there are beaches, rather than terraces and then jetty entrances to the sea that you get closer to NB
