The Mario Park is a good day out, it is not as modern as some other but we enjoyed it, the water is salt water loads of slides wave pool, I would not book with the rep, as it's cheeper to get there and just buy a ticket at the gate

Take a picnic (although there are cafes etc on site) there are seperate picnic areas (you can not eat on the sunbeds) watch how the spanish do a picnic! it's a work of art.

Sunbeds are charged seperate (about 3 euros for two and a sunshade if I remember)

There are not massive ques so you don't have to wait ages for a go on the slides

Top tip, if you get a taxi try to book one from your hotel as at peak times (10 -11 am you can wait ages for one at the rank.

A nice touch is that the security gaurd will ring a Taxi for you to get home

i was thinking of going out there in august what would be the best place to stay at with a water park near by

Hi Whit,I suppose Mojacar probably has the most to offer in the way of things to do but if its a really quiet time you are looking for then anywhere in reach of the water Park at Vera will do,best wishes,John.
P.S.The Pueblo Indalo in Mojacar is very popular with families....

If you are going in August remember it gets very busy and you should be at the Waterpark when it opens. I remember we left at about 2pm and at that stage the kids were queueing for about 30 mins for a ride and we getting bored.

Hi

When is the best day to visit the water park in August (or should I say quietest :D ), we are going to Roquetas on the 17th. Can you tell me approx how much a taxi is and how much is the entrance fee.

Thanks 8)

I guess a taxi would be around 100 euros each way :o which would put me off.I'm told the entrance for adults is about 12 Euros with kids cheaper. They say there is a family deal, two adults and two children for 28 Euros.I'm afraid I dont know the quiet days but would stay away at weekends as I'm sure some locals will be using it then.best wishes,John.
