Now this is driving me around the bend, and has got me talking a load of rubbish.
Tribuna and Preferente are actually the names of the stands.

Those prices I quoted still seem to be correct :hmmm
Anyway, one way to find out...I've just sent them an e-mail asking for the price per adult.

You can tell that I ain't a football fan, apart from Real Madrid and haven't a clue about their ground or prices either.

I would have thought this topic would have brought the male members interest into the topic.
How do you expect a woman to know about football? :rofl

Aww I do know who Graham Poll is.

Don't you just love a challenge
Just found on another website that the price to watch Alicante is 20 euros per adult, but, don't know how "up to date" that price is.

This is the bus timetable/prices for 2006 HERE...you're not going until next year, so will have to check the site again.

This site will give you a detailed map of both Alicante (shows the stadium) and Benidorm...what you do is this....
I've already loaded it for Alicante.....so just click on either Plano Callejero or Callejero Interactivo...and another window opens up.
Click on the blue button and this will then enable you to zoom in/out and scroll across the city.
Change to Benidorm from the drop down menu in "Localidad" and click buscar....you may have to close the link down or go back to the home page for it to re-load.

HERE

After all that, I feel like I've played in a footie match, so I'm off to do some real work now.

Other members may be able to help you regarding the location of the bus station in Alicante and where to get the bus in Benidorm, I have a feeling it will be in el Avda de Europa.

Full time from me....
PS: I've loaded it for Benidorm as well HERE

hi
many thanks.

just to point out that i wasnt saying you wouldnt know who graham poll is. i was saying you would know more about football than him.
although if you were a 1 year old from madagascar who has been kept indoors with earmuffs on and dark glasses on, then you would know more than graham poll.

i'm off to paris tomorrow to propose to my girlfriend so i will check out all that info when i get back next week.
many thanks again.

p.s. should i keep the ring in the bottom of the hand luggage bag and hope that the dude at security doesnt get it out?? is that my best bet to keep it a secret??

Hiya Ian
We are both seriously close to receiving a red card for going off topic from the moderator.

We have to stick to football in Benidorm....however,
I personally would put the ring in the bottom of your hand luggage, I certainly wouldn't put it in your case that's for sure, and you may have to empty your pockets at security check point...so, the hand luggage looks the best bet.!

Congratulations and have a great time in Paris.

well i am visiting the stade de france where france play football and there is a french player who plays for benidorm fc, so technically we are still on the subject.

Benidorm's ground is near to the station. Rough directions are go along the road at the side of the station, follow it down past the school then take a right. Admission price was €15 when I went to the first game of the season.

The Bernabeu it isn't!!

sanji i think you must have got the prices wrong somewhere i know valencia only charge about 40 euros for champions league games so alicante can't possibly charge 110 euros for a run of the mill non league game

Hiya Ian.
Yep, I did get the pricing wrong and later corrected it at €20.

Those prices refer to season ticket holders, but not being familiar with the prices of watching a football match, then it was an easy mistake to make until I found the relevant page.HERE
If you can pay €65 for a season ticket, but can get charged €20 per game without a seaon ticket.? it just didn't make sense
After reading it over and over again, then I realised that these are the INSTALMENTS to be made for a season ticket.

So, maybe someone would like to enlighten me...if I've got that wrong.?
Anyway, you should never leave it to a woman to answer a football question. :rofl

Quite some distance away if I recall. I think there is a link to a map of Benidorm somewhere on these boards that will show the location of the Train Station and the Flamingo Oasis Hotel.

If anyone is interested, me and a few lads who live in Benidorm follow FC Torrevieja, who are in the Third Division, but are trying hard this season to get promoted to the Second Division B. The fan club is well renown, calling itself the Torry Army. Website address http://www.fctorrevieja.com.

We travel to all the away games which tend to be North of us towards Valencia, e.g Denia, Pego, Villarreal B, Castellon B, Onda, etc. It tends to be mainly English following, and the Torry Army tend to take 2-3 coaches away to games (which is rare in Spain as fans don't tend to follow their Club to away games!)

Usually a great day out, and a chance to see a bit of the Costa Blanca, and a few beers thrown in.

Anyone interested, contact me.

Hi,

i am looking at taking in a football match between 8th-22nd May this year.

I think i have 3 options.

13/05/07 Valencia vs Zaragoza
13/05/07 Alicante vs Sant Andreu
20/05/07 Benidorm vs Huesca

I have to way up the pro's and cons. Obviously in terms of quality, the Valencia match would be my preference. However this is the furthest away. Can anyone shed any light on how far away the Benidorm stadium is from the Flamingo Oasis??
Also how long and easy would it be to get to either Alicante or Valencia for games?

Cheers

Ian

Benidorm's ground is the other side of town from the Flamingo Oasis. It's about two minutes walk from the railway station so it would probably be best to get a bus to there for €1 ish as it's too far to walk from where the Flamingo Oasis is.
