Thanks everyone for your help will give them a try. It's our first time there, and being in our early 60's it's quite confusing to decide where to go. We like to get out and about, go self catering but don't want discos but plenty of restuarants etc, Any more info gratefully received!!

Hi Katy, you can download maps of a lot of the resorts on the algarve from INVALID URL if you have problems downloading from the adobe acrobat option try the windows zip file option they will be in pdf format & give you info on restaurants, bars etc. Cheers Jayjan
