Where would be a good alternative to Puerto Pollensa for a family with four children?
We've been here several times and love it, but would like to try somewhere different, but where?
Don't want to go to Cala D'Or (have already been), but all other suggestions more than welcome.
We have got our flights booked (August), now all we need is the resort and if anyone has got any recommendations for some nice air conditioned apartments with a pool, we will be more than happy.
Hope someone can help! Thanks.
Would you consider Cala Bona? Lovely harbour and promenade all on the flat. There is a good choice of hotels and apartments. We go to Hotels now but I am sure someone would recommend some apartments if this is where you want to go. CBG
We are returning in June because we had such a fab holiday last year !
Lovely promenade that runs into Cala Millor and harbour.
Plenty of nice restaurants and bars to visit .

Yes, would certainly consider Cala Bona. Thanks for suggesting it, haven't been there before.
We are going back in August 2 adults and 2 kids ages 12 & 8.

We've booked Easyjet flights and have accommodation for our last 4 days in Can Pastilla
However we want another two locations to try and have been to quite a few of the more popular resorts.
This year we were thinking of trying either Sa Coma, Cala Millor or Cala Bona, so I will be watching this one for any suggestions.
Thanks again for suggestions!
This year we want to be based somewhere in the south, so we have easy access to Palma. Would like to take the train up to the mountains from Palma. Don't fancy the drive...
So probably the east coast is a bit too far.
Have probably narrowed it down to Ca'an Pastilla, Santa Ponsa and Andratx.
But am struggling with finding accommodation in the area, as am probably being a bit fussy, but want a three bedroomed air conditioned apartment in small complex with a lovely pool!! Don't want much do we?
Have left it a bit late now, as have tried Hollday Rentals, Owners Direct, Holiday Lettings and Villarenters, and they have nothing available in the areas.
Does anybody know of any other sites I could try or any local rental agents please?
Thanks again for your suggestions.
You will like Can Pastilla, it can be quiet but its extremely "Spanish" and has people from all Nationalities there, German, Dutch, Spanish etc etc.
This is one of the things we liked about it!
There are loads of bars and bistros though, and if you do want something more lively you can get on the little train and go up to Arenal where there is more going on. (we just liked Can Pastilla it was enough for us!). Or even get the bus to Palma, its only 1 Euro odds per trip!
I cant recommend anywhere for you to stay unfortunately as we are being very lazy and staying in the same place we did two years ago, the Brasilia Playa............its an aparthotel but I dont think its what you are looking for, however I know Glynis may have some suggestions for you as she has made some in previous threads.
