I'm sure one of the tour agencies on Sarigerme main street will offer diving excursions, also I'm pretty sure I saw some diving going on from Sarigerme beach.

Hi,

There is a diving school in the main street towards to the end of the street on the left hand side. It is called Sarigerme Diving Center, If you can't find it just ask anyone in the street and they will show it to you,

I would not recommend you booking the diving excursion via any travel agent as Sarigerme Diving Centre do it for them. Booking with them you will save up money and also feel the personal touch,

If you have any question please feel free to ask,

Happy holiday,

Mustafa

We've booked today for the Tropical and after reading reviews assumed it was all one complex.

But by the sounds of things this won't be the case (and could explain the cost of the holiday being £678 for 3 adults, 1 child!).

Can anyone confirm this and does it mean things like the resturants and live entertainment from the Palace and the outside stuff won't be avaliable. If so it's a big bummer because the other place sounds like it has lots on offer.

Also does the Tropical have a nightclub as I've read that in some reviews?

To answer your questions robrymond i spoke to firstchoice and the tropical is now run by ibostar not firstchoice and the kids activities are nothing compared what they have at the palace you can only eat at the tropical and drink. they said you still walk to the palace side but i am asumming you have to buy drinks and kids are not allowed in the kids clubs. The tropical did have a room what they called a so called nite club but no one ever went in. They also said with it being ibostar it would mostly be Germans ,French .Sorry to dampen your hols! But we went there last August and food and drink and atmosphere was great it had a more relaxed feel on the tropical side . karen

Robrymond---

First was selling this holiday as holiday village pegasos palace or tropical now they are seperated, reps couldn't tell me if you would be stopped from using facilities on either side, example if you book tropical can you use palace side and vice versa.
We went to the pegasos palace last and had a look to see the difference between the two.
the main difference is the pools palace side has more of them and they are bigger, things to do in both are the same restrurants bars etc, don't know what entertainment and kids clubs are like now, don't know if first choice are providing kids clubs/entertainment.
site is so big i can't see how they will be able to seperate the two complexes, wouldn't look right if they put a fence up,
They might have different colour wrist bands to identify which side you are on.
In my opinion both hotels are very good but the palace stands out that little bit more hence the name palace, i'm sure you will still have a good time, check with travel agent if you can use palace side

Thanks for that.

We booked through Eclipse and the same holiday was also avaliable through First Choice, so presumably there will be Brits there.

It was £678 minus in-flight meals and the contribution for 3 adults and 1 child aged 5. I'm not too fussed if there's pools and stuff and the Tropical is just as nice, but the lack of kids club may be a downer and also if it's filled with Germans and French we're unlikely to make friends :(

I was told they do have a their own kids club dont worry if you ring them they should be able to tell you how long they are on for,and for you they did have fosters beer on draft which the palace didn't last year which if you perfer was a little better. But you'll have a great time my two girls were never out the pool and slides were open 10 to 12 and 2 to 4 everyday .

There was also a disco in the beach bar until about 2am in the Tropical.

All sounds reasonably good, just the thought of sharing a hotel with the majorty of Germans doesn't tbh.

I don't mind a small mix of other nationalities like when I stayed in Crete, but the majority being foreign wouldn't be as desirable.

Just had this reply from Eclipse:

Thank you for your email.

The complex was bought by Iberostar towards the end of last year, however,
the palace side of the complex still remains a holiday village.

The tropical side of the complex is available to book via a number of tour
operators as the property is not longer owned by First Choice.

The facilities on each side of the complex are very similar.

I hope that this information has answered any questions you have raised and
if you require any further help, please do not hesitate to contact us on
Clerical@firstchoice.co.uk

I can't see it being primarily Germans then with other tour operators at the helm :)

After another email they are unable to confirm how the two will be split this year.

According to them both complexes were the same size, so it won't make much difference, so therefore I'm pretty happy about that :)

Hi looking to go first week of may for 2 weeks can any one tell me what the pool tempertures are like in may please?
and if this resort will suit a 3yr old girl 6yr old boy 10 yr old girl & 14 yr old boy.
Also are there any excursions?

& are pool towels inc?

thankyou

From what I've gathered reading these forums, there is a towel hut which opens each morning at 9am, so towels are included.

Meanwhile the Palace has lots of stuff for kids, including a club and various activities. Not sure about the Tropical this year, supposedly it's the same, but they're not advertising a kids club with First Choice, which is who we're travelling with on 7th May.

Pools can't answer, because not been yet lol ;)
