Hi all
Going to Punta Cana on Monday and i always use GHD's. I know they wont work in PC. I brought a pair of straighteners in NEw York last year and so was planning on using those in PC next week. they have the US 2 pin plug on them. However as i have not used these for a year, am concerned they may not work, call me paranoid but my hair is so curly naturally i cant possibly leave it curly it looks messy!
So, i wondered, has anyone used the babyliss pro 200 slim ceramic straighteners? Can get them here in the Uk and they have worldwide voltage.
Please help!
Do you know that GHD's have a plug inside the 3 pin plug that you can use in the US? my hairdresser has taken hers to Mexico and used them there, there's a big screw in the middle of the plug, undo this and the flex is attached to 2 pin plug inside our 3 pin plug ... ingenious or what!! I have curly hair and am planning on taking mine to Cancun in September, can't live without them, would have a right frizzy mess for a barnet if I didn't
Thanks tarnlass, I never read the instructions and threw them out for recycling. Amazing invention, eh. Thanks for that
Thing is though they prob wont get hot enough due to the voltage not being as powerful as ours is. ours is 220 i think and dom rep is 110. wont get to the 210C that they norm go to.
Good tip though re the plug!
I used my GHD's in PC last year and although they didn't get as hot as usual, they were plenty hot enough to do the job
Hope that's some help.
