Hi, am going for the first time to tenerife and am confused about which resort to go to. I'd definitely like a place in the south because it seems to be warmer but apart from the temperature. My priorities are:

1. Beautiful scenery (seaside, mountains, village. anything)
2. Quiet, idyllic, not crowded, not touristy
3. Good sand beach (not too crowded) if possible with golden sand
4. Clean, clean, clean
5., Any hotels that can be recommended
6. though idyllic, a few restaurants and pubs would be good

Playa des las Americas and Los Christianos sound a bit too busy. I don't mind walking upto ten minutes to the beach. If there is a real beautiful resort somewhere in the centre of the island I am open to driving to the beach as well. Other questions:
1. Is there ample parking in tenerife?
2. What is the weather like beginning of april?
3. Is it useful to hire a car to get to the interiors of the island or get around in general o is there enough and frequent public transportation?
4. Are there really lots of cockroaches?
