Over the past fewyears Turkey has been quieter than normal due to one reason or another.
Does anyone have an idea how this season is shaping up, any travel agents out there who may be ale to advise.
Was inIcmeler last yer inJune and that was the quietest I have seen the place. Off again this year for the last 2 weeks of May. Dont get me wrong I enjoy it when its quiet, but Im sure the bar owners etc dont
Stewart
Season is shaping up nicely with flights dropping off the board as they fill and in May also.
lets hope it carrys on
then i went again mid sept that was very bad nobody their due back in july lets hope people start coming back
It was so quite then also travelled back to Marmaris in September
It was very very quite then
Going back again in July just hope its picked up not that I'm complaining about it been quite.
But i do feel sorry for the turkish people they don't earn at lot as it is.
I am sure that Turkey's tourism will be a lot better than last year and i see that there are more bookings for this season.
by the way, every year a lot of new hotels appear on turkish coasts, may be the reason is there?
the answer is world cup football, bombs, bird flu, and bad press i think which caused most of the problems last year, and of course there are alot more hotels around now which is keeping it competive
well i for one wasn't put off, here at home we have all of the above mentioned problems but i know where i'd rather be, ,roll on may,it cant come around quick enough.
nothing stops me either but some people that don't know are coutious
and i dont blame them but the truth is you are safer in turkey than the uk now well thats my views
its mine too, once the kids are off hand we want to move abroad, always fancied spain then for the last three years we have been to turkey, the forth is coming soon, and i'm being swayed towards living there, souldn't wish my life away, but hurry up,
im in the process of trying to persuade my hubby to move to turkey but hes having none of it grrr, dont get me wrong he loves the country etc but said he couldnt live there as he loves working too much !!!! ive even gone into finding out how high the interest rate is and if you put a large lump some of money in a turkish bank you could live off the interest, but nothing will convince him at the moment looks like im in for a long wait grrrrrrrrr, but i wont give up hopefully ill wear him down lol
i hope you get your own way in the end ellie-meg,i'm lucky my other half said where ever i want to go she will follow, must be love,
youre lucky bibbs but im fighting a losing battle, he will 1 day agree in but about 10 years i bet lol , hes a few years younger than me so still loves working grrr ,the downside of having a toy boy lol, well its not that much of an age gap lol but seems it when ive had enough of the uk lol
At least you'd still be able to use HT chat room.
i am the toy boy but still very much looking forward to leaving these shores for warmer and sunnier climes,a dream at the moment but hopefully it will materialise one day soon,
As for the things I would miss, strolling to the local and bumping into friends, but then again I would have new friends to stroll to my new local and bump into, weather - would not miss at all, as for the NHS, been waiting almost a year for a follow up appointment on a problem with my back and legs , even on Turkish time this is remarkably slow. As for bus passes I have 19 years to go before I get one , and the dolmuses are really cheap anyway! As for the beer its a darned site cheaper out there than here and I'm more concerned with quantity over quality. Libraries - only use a library to steal books so not too bothered about that then , Marmite? Like it but could live without it. And wonderful football teams, less said about the gunners the better! Thanks for reminding me! lol Here's hoping for a better season next year, but if I win the lottery I may be a Galatasary fan

hes only 38 so a bit young to retire lol, my mother lives in turkey too so thats another reason why i would love to move over there, maybe 1 day in the future who knows, my youngest is 7 and i thought now would be a good age for her too cope with a big change another few years and it would be too late, my older too have both left school so havent got to worry about them now
see nows there the problem with posting when you have been up the pub,you tend to repeat yourself,
