This is for Sara or any 'diet buddies' on a slimmingworld programme.

Have tried Weightwatchers and have decided it is not for me - I am too hungry, then I eat 'rubbish' and feel awful.
Have just downloaded Slimmers World info. including a 7 day trial - going to give it a go.
I have a couple of questions can I PM anyone?

Well, I lost another 1½lbs this week - thats 8lbs altogether in 3 weeks. I am feeling very pleased with myself to say the least :D . Does seem to be slowing down a bit so will start with the exercise kick now. See if I can reach my goal of 1 stone before my sister's wedding in April and 3 stones for my holiday in September.

im having the same problem sarah its slowing down grr so need to do exercise grrr lol !!! but well done on losing 8 lbs , ive lost 16 in 6 wks and cant tell yet and no one has noticed which doesnt help lol, think once ive lost 2-3 stone it will be more noticable

You are both doing really well, keep it up :D am hoping for an average 2lb loss each week, but have not managed that on other diets and that is why I am looking at Slimming World. Nearly at the end of my 2nd day and I am not hungry. Hoping to lose just over 2 stone by beginning of August :wink:
Sarah I will PM you as I am not going to the classes but have downloaded from their website and I need info on Syns? Like what is a teapoon of low fat spread, glass of wine etc? Have been toldyou can have 5 - 15 syns per day???

Hi, Had my weigh in last night Scottish Slimmers lost a pound, thats six now, but it feels like more as my clothes are getting sooo roomy. Keep up the good work everyone.

Ellie, people will start to notice soon, and from past experience they will think you've lost weight quickly seeing as they've only just noticed!

A teaspoon of low fat spread i.e. flora light is 1 syn. Wine is quite high but varies on what kind you prefer. Dry white wine goes from a small glass (125ml) which is 4 syns to a large glass (175ml) which is 6. As I said, it does vary dependent on which wine you prefer.

I am allowed up to 15 syns a day. I dont use these though. Just depends on what I am eating that day.

If you get on with the week's trial, you may benefit from joining a local slimming world class. You get a brilliant booklet which gives you the syn breakdown and full access to the website. Good luck and PM me with any questions.

Well nearly at the end of day 3 and my appetite is well satisfied. Know I shouldn't have but I weighed myself today, 3lbs less than when I started - I know most of it will be water but it is what I need to keep focused - I am one of those people that need to 'see' the weight come off :lol:
Will see how I am after 1 week and consider joing a class however there are a few people from work interested???? Also I should have the 'shopping at Asda' book early next week.
Sorry another question 5 - 15 syns per day is that for evryone or does it depend on your start weight etc?

Well I've just read all the recent posts and have to say I'm regretting the cheese and onion pasty and banoffee pie I had for lunch!!!! Ha Ha!! I've really lost all my willpower and have only lost 8lbs in the last month but now that I've read some encouraging posts I'm off to Tescos to stock up on fruit and healthy stuff!!

Irene I have followed most in my time!
This time its a maximum of 50 g of fat and 1400 cals a day which seems to be working slow and steady. Have had success with SW and WW in the past but always put it on again!

thanks for all the encouragement it really motivates you,ive got 3 course meal tomorrow ill have to pick from the menu the least naughty lol, think im in for a bad week this week with thing and another grrr !!!!!

Hope you are all having a nice weekend and to all us that our mum's a happy mothers day to us all and to all our mum's as well. :wink:
I can't believe that I have had a weekend where I have not been 'nibbling' mind you I was so busy yesterday as my washer has broken so I spent the day at my mum's doing a weeks load of washing and today we have been at my hubbys family saying our goodbyes as my siter in law and her husband are off to live in Canada very soon. Still I don't feel hungry. I suppose if I had gone out for a meal I would have been a piggy :wink: Got my exercise DVD that I asked for so here's hoping................

I find walking and swimming the best exercise for me as I suffer from low blood pressure so anything too strenuous and I go giddy :?

I got weighed today and have only lost one pound this week. 9 more weeks to lose 13lb. I'm gonna do it, I am, I am :twisted: :twisted:
