Hey all
How is everyone? All doing great things I hope.
Well, another 1½lb off last night. Thats 9½lb in 28 days. I feel well pleased. If I can keep this up, I will hit my three stone target at around the middle of August (so the graphs predict) so I am going for it now.
Good luck all
Sarah
Well I am a very happy bunny today 5lbs loss in a week. I know part will be water but to see those scales this morning
Really lifted my spirits (have just come home from work a bit early as I have a lousy cold which is now making my chest 'all tight' and my voice is croaky), not good for a receptionist answering the 'phone all day!!!!! Dosing myslef up but going to stick to the diet.
Good old slimmers world.
Hope everyone is having a good week and thanks to you all for your help and support.
Speak soon.
Irene
Well done Irene,I am glad slimming world worked for you.Do you go to class ?
Thanks - no I don't go to a class downloaded info from the internet last week and thought Iwould give it a try so going to carry on and see how I go. I can't believe that I have not felt hungry, this has been what has always been the 'problem' in the past.
Irene
Dont put too much stock in the excess water theory. I lost 4lb the first week and my mum lost 5.5lb. Both of these amounts are classed as "normal" for a first weeks' loss if you are following the diet properly.
You did the hard work and are seeing the rewards. Dont put yourself down.
One girl I know (who gave me the inspiration to go to SW in the first place) is still consistently losing 3lb - 5lb a WEEK. She has lost 2.5 stones in less than 3 months. The changes, not just bodily, in her are amazing to see.
Keep up the good work everyone.
Irene, any questions just PM me.
Sarah
Thanks for those words. Hope you are doing well.
Just deciding what to do on my 2nd week - Hope it is ok to follow the 'downloaded' version again, someone is getting me a 'shop at Asda book' from the sw club they go to - friend of a friend etc!!!!
Going to get the magazine also as that will have some usefu info.l I am sure.
I am at home today still not feeling 100% with this rotten cold - in the past I have always gone into work but in Nov and Dec I did that and I was really unwell, so hopefully a day off now with loads of medicines etc will sort me out.
Just going to order some vitamins - someone has recommended Odourless garlic capsules for fending off colds etc, since a child I have always suffered with sore throats etc - bit off topic there sorry As a matter of interest do you take any supplements like a multi vitamin while follwoing the SW plan?
Speak soon.
Irene
As for the dieting, I haven't looked at the on-line diet from SW. Obviously it must be good if youve lost the weight. I will have a look and see if I can offer any alternatives for you.
The most important thing we have been told at the SW class is that repetition is what makes diets boring and to try new things and substitute one veg for something else. Ive even tried butternut squash which is something ive never fancied before. It wasn't that bad either although I couldn't eat too much of it. It tasted a bit like swede actually. Personally, my favourite veg is sprouts and I could eat them with everything.
Good luck
Sarah
Echinea is something someone has previosly mentioned to me and I have taken it. There are different recommendations on how long you should take it, whether to take it for a month or so and then a break
I love nearly all vegetables but have never tasted butternut squash if it is like swede I will give it a go
Speak soon. Irene
Am still feeling happy as another 2lbs gone and according to the charts no longer obese , merely overweight .Yippee!
Keep it up all of you - we are doing great
Karen, read about your flight fiasco, hope you sort it soon and don't resort to chocolate!
had a bad week this week, put on 1 lb grrr but had girlie probs , so hopefully next week will start losing weight again, got a long way to go and dont want to give up
karen
Well done lallygirl for losing some more - keep up the good work It will all be worth it (well that is what I keep saying to myself). Still enjoying the SW plan weighed myself this morning and I have just got below 11st - have been trying for about 5 months to do that so feeling good.
Karen sorry to hear of you flight probs - I have to be careful because when I am 'down' I tend to eat others don't but thats me, hope you get something sorted very soon.
Irene
5wks left to lose at least 7lb. I'm in naughty mode though and could fair go a big bag of licqourice allsorts!!
You all sound as if you coming on well.
ive stayed the same this week grrr , got to start exercising now as i think ive come to a stand still so annoying when i was doing so well lol
Lost 2 pound this week, 11 more to go in 8 weeks. I'll walk it...................at least that way I'll burn more calories
Well done to those that have and keep smiling those that have not!!!!
I am not looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow, had a bad day or so. Son had his mobile 'phone stolen from the PE changing rooms at school and the school say it is not their resposibility - I can accept that 'phones are taken to school at their own risk but a teacher took charge of valuables!!!! Hoping I can claim on the insurance - couldn't have had his cheap one nicked!!!! and my washing machine is still out of action - what do I do when I am depressed - EAT!!!!
Sorry to rant on. Suppose I need professional advice.
Going to join the SW club on Thursday night anyway so I will be back on track soon.
From a fed up Irene
Oh Irene, not to worry, everyone is entitled to fall off the wagon at some stage. Glad you've decided to join a SW class though. I take that to mean you've felt positive about doing the trial.
Well, ive lost another 3lb this week. I am sooo pleased with myself. Even went out today and purchased a couple of new tops as a reward. After not thinking that I had done particularly well this week and getting those results last night I have a new burst of confidence and energy.
Two major blips on the horizon though. Friday I have my sister's hen night - Italian. Not a good food to be indulging in but I have worked out my green and red days and that the spag bog or lasagna will be the better options. I will be saving my syns this week for that one night out and you know I will be hitting the wine especially cause I haven't had a drink for nearly 4 weeks now. The second is her wedding which is in 2 weeks time but I will cross that bridge when I get there.
Nearly a stone lighter (only 1.5lbs to go) in 5 weeks. I am glad my mum and sister bullied me into joining SW now. Its the best thing ive done in ages.
Roll on September. If I can keep it up, I'm going to be super slim for my holiday.
to everyone.
Sarah
Just had a chilli with 'syn' free chips and they were really lovely - I am not a chip person but will certainly be making those again.
Although did have a packet of crisps when I came in from work as still feeling 'down' I am certainly getting the runaround from the washing machine engineer and will be back in contact with consumer advice tomorrow morning - The darn thing is only 6 months old!!!!!
Not starting class until Tuesday and a friend from work is coming along also. I have really enjoyed the trial and now need info on syns etc.
Keep up the good work everyone.
Irene
Well done everyone - I am still happy , another 2lbs this week!! hopefully this time next wek I will be telling you I,ve made it to 2 stone (or maybe not...)
I am starting at SW on Tuesday, can power walk there and back
I am off for 2weeks now from school so no excuse to do that exercise
Wel ldone to all - keep up the good work everyone.
Irene
Well I don't get weighed till monday but I tried on that dress I bought a while back in a smaller size and HEY, it's looking good. I think it's the longer, sunnier days that's made me more determined, what do you others think?
