Yes you may get a drink from the outside bars irrespective of what part of the complex you are in. The standard of rooms within the complex are very similar so there should be no worry on that score. If you are going outside of term time with the children then you will have no problem i think with sun lounges and good access to the water slides and kids club. If you go in term time then things will be much busier. You have to remember this is a good complex which is very desirable to all European's so it will be busy in term time. All of the pools are of a good size and come highly recommended. Remember the water slides are in the park part of the complex
For those going to sharm peek summer who wish the best in snorkeling then the Hilton sharms waterfall would be the preferred option as the the reef runs parallel to the small jetty. This hotel has a cable car which runs from the upper beach / lower hotel pool up to reception via the the hotels levels and is much appreciated in the heat of the day at 45 Celsius. This hotel is normally sold on a bed and breakfast tariff so it will be more expensive then the jaz complex
