Old Village Apartments in Vilamoura

There are 10 of us coming over in 1weeks. Looking on the net i cant see much about the apartments we are staying in. Has anyone stayed there or got tips on their profile?

How far to the beach and local amenities? Is it a good bit to stay? Will we get the local train (staying 7 April for a week).

Is it dear here or are we cheaper going to another town to shop etc....

Can we go fishing out on the sea etc if so what is the cost?

Any info guys would be great

You should be able to get the little train as we got on it on Thursday and went to the Old Village area. €4 round trip but don't know if they do the 'all day' ticket like they do in Albufeira.

Looks good.

What about eating out? I know now that where we are staying is more expensive so we could nip to Albufuria (sp??) have a meal, do the strip then head back yeah?

Mark It will cost you approx 15 euros in a taxi from Vilamoura to Albufeira if you are not hiring a car. The restaurants on Vilamoura Marina can be a bit more expensive but there are lots of others situated behind the Marina which are very reasonable. You could also walk into Quarteira the next resort there are loads of reasonable restaurants on the promenade sea front. Enjoy your Holiday. Cheers Jayjan
