Sorry, can't see anything much, sea is very cloudy (high salt content?). Maybe it's better not to know what's in there!

have taken my snorkel twice but not this time (this friday) - pointless - visibility about 3 feet at the best and from where i have been thats the whole coast from Baga down to Palolem

Hi Don't bother bringing Snorkeling or Diving Gear, the underwater Visibility is less than a Metre, The Dive School in Tito's Road offers Day trips 2 Dives 2500 Rupees, to an Island I believe is of Cocoa Beach, 1 Wreck Dive and 1 Reef Dive both dives are at a depth of less that 12 Metres.

But Personally I wouldn't bother

Hi cordex

this is the trip my hubby did, he was looking forward to the ship wreck but the water was that murky that the 'instructor' couldnt find it!! the boat was too small (bit bigger than the shacks fishing boats) and 2 of the girls who were going to snorkel were very sea sick - its doesnt bother my hubby but he said it ruined their day I do realise no one can control the sea. The 2nd dive on the coral was just as bad only saw 3 fish another guy who was diving with him had yellow flippers on and thats the only way my hubby could see him and the instructor, lunch was slice of pineapple and a banana  - he ask for a refund when he got back as they only had 1 dive and no lunch on the beach - again no one can control the sea/weather but usually the instructors/divers know what the water conditions are and should have postponed until another day. We love Goa and the people this was our 7th trip so we shouldnt have been shocked at the standard lol

Sorry to have gone of the topic slightly but hubby would strongly advise against diving or snorkelling in Goa

From my experience it would be a waste of time taking a mask and snorkle. Nothing at all like the Red Sea etc.

keep your luggage space for something useful!! you won't be needing the snorkling gear. went on a trip the first time we went to goa, they sent a spotter out to find a fish. eventually the boy shouted there's one over here. so every one goes to where he's pointing by the time we got there it had gone, didn't see another one!!! on top of that the water was really murky. now if you talk about cuba, thats a different kettle of fish, if you'll excuse the pun. loads of fish, fantastic coral reefs, crystal clear water, what snorklings all about, i love it!!
next year we're having a break from goa, and going back to cuba. because i miss the snorkling. going to one of the islands this , cayo coco, really looking forwad to it.
sorry did i rattle on a bit, hope it helps. BOB :fish
