I hope you have a fantastic holiday, you deserve it after all that. My head was spinning just reading it.

You must have the patience of a saint, I hope they appreciate all the work you put in but I suspect they are unaware. have a good time. :D

I remember your post in the visa thread about doing 22 of them! If anyone deserves a holiday it's you - it seems you have had to do everything for them.

Can they actually breathe and walk at the same time, or wipe their own a*ses, or have you had to put that on the Handy Hints sheet for them?!

I'm very organised too, but would never consider trying to book a holiday for that may people.
Actually, I wouldn't want to do it as we like to be away from everybody when we're on holiday.

I hope YOU enjoy your holiday, you certainly deserve it! :sun

I just hope that you won't bear the brunt of any dissatisfaction with your party as a result of any flight delays, problems with the hotel, the beach-sellers hassle, the curry that's a bit too hot, the Kingfisher beer that's a bit too warm etc etc.

We go out on the 13th so hope to see you at one of the meet ups. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when you are fighting off the airport porters for 22 lots of bags. :rofl

Liked all of your comments :D
I know I must be mad, but part of me wouldn't have it any other way. I just don't trust that things will be done properly if I don't do it!! They are aware of what I have had to do, I tell them often enough! Whether it sinks in is another matter.

I do love organising and researching holidays (this forum has definately made the research a lot easier for me and for this I thank you all). It's just makes for harder work when there was so many people dropping out/being added on etc.

The main reason for the holiday is my mum and stepdads 25th wedding anniversary and I am one of 5 children, so with partners etc there tends to be a lot of us.

Once everyone finds their feet, its doubtful we will all stay together. People want to do different things and so smaller groups go off together, luckily. Would probably go mad if we spent every waking hour in each others pockets.

everton4ever ... if you had said earlier, you could have had one the spare places

Like you say, its my holiday too, so once we arrive thats my organising finished .... hopefully. No doubt there will be constant questions cos they haven't bothered to read any of the info I have given them. I am not generally backward in coming forward, so I'll have my say if need be!

As for the porters at the airport, I have made it my holiday mission to get through the airport without parting with a single pound. What they do is up to them (if they have bothered to read the info I have given them, they will know all about it).

Will hopefully get to one of the meetings .... I'll be the one sat in the corner rocking back and forth and dribbling by then :rofl

Leave Gatwick on 15th on 4pm flight ... so if anyone's on it, sorry!

Hope to do a trip report upon my return.
Cheers everyone x

Jenerlilly - you sound like a fantastic person to have around but you sure don't make life easy for yourself!! And worse still. you make it too easy for all the others who will have no idea about all the hard work you've done on their behalf!

I also veer towards the control freakery side of life but I urge you to just let go a little! It's worth it. You can still enjoy your holiday from the comfort of a lounger with a glass of Kingfisher, smugly watching all those people that aren't as organised as you and wonder whether being that organised actually matters that much anyway!

Hope you have a great trip....and learn to let go a little! Goa is the perfect place to start to learn the art of "chilling out!"

Gemma - will definately try to get to lazy days so hope to see you there. :D

Roma - Trust me, I will be chilling with the best of them once I arrive. It's all the stuff before the holiday that I normally organise. I love my holidays ... and I won't allow anything to spoil them, I just like to make sure that everyone and everything is sorted before we go :D

Only 11 more sleeps :pele
