Thank you for the reply. I take it there is no kettle will take my own would have been so disappointed. Trying to save the weight of my case, hubby goes spare if there is anything more othan a toothbrush in there lol.
We stayed at la cala hotel last september, and there is not any kettles or teasmade in the rooms . Hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we did. We have booked again for May.
Could anyone tell me has la cala hotel in Santa Eulalia have sea view rooms? as I have read this on alpha Rooms website. Would really fancy that but have only been offered pool view.
santa eulalia -
if you click on the BBVA marker (look at the marker listing at the bottom of the map) and zoom in you can see la cala hotel below it - you can see why youre offered pool views - unless you have the bottom left corner (on the map) top room you wont see anything - and even then you get a bit of the marina and possibly a bit of sea
We stayed at la cala last september. You are better of staying in pool view room, as they are a lot quiter if you want to sit on your balancy, as all other rooms over look either the main road or side street which all are fairly busy, Sea view rooms have a very restrected view. You will love this hotel. We are going again in 20days time.
I've booked to go to La Cala for a week in June and I've booked a garden view? Anyone know if there is a garden. didn't want pool view. Looked on map as suggested and don't see anything that looks remotely like a garden. Don't mind if I'm on main road, stayed in an hotel in centre of Barcelona on a really busy street and loved it. The noise adds to the atmosphere!
Getting excited can't wait first time in Ibiza.
I have stayed at hotel la cala twice and i have never seen a garden. When in june are you going. I am going june 6th counting the days
I'm going on June 15th can't wait been told it's a beautiful island.
Thought the "Garden View" looked a bit suspect, likely be facing a brick wall! Booked on Freedom Direct and choices were Garden or Pool view. Not bothered never spend much time in the hotel anyway, like to be out and about.
Booked the hotel coz reviews were good and if you've been twice and going back again that says it all.
You will realy enjoy this hotel, hotel is spotless, food is very good plenty of choice, staff very freindly. Drinks in this hotel are actually cheaper than in most of the cafe`s and bars. This is the only hotel we have ever gone back to. Ibiza is a lovely island. You must go to Ibiza town its great. We booked direct with hotel and got 2 cheap flights £6.99 going out £1.99 coming back. I love a bargain. Let me know how you got on Have a great time.
Thank's for all your insite I am so looking forward to this as hubby has been ill. Want to go away switch off for 2 wks. Have had nothing but excellent feedback from this hotel. Feel a lot better. Roll on 10th June.
Got home on Saturday,
Had a great week. La Cala hotel spotless, big rooms, good location. Food....fab one night ok the next... though always enough choice you wont starve! Took the ferry to Ibiza town and Es Cana. enjoyed trips but thought Santa Eulalia was nicer than both. First time in Ibiza, would definately go back and stay at La Cala. Oh well back to reality. Roll on October, have to start saving and checkout where will still be warm.
We are going to Ibiza in October staying in the Invisa La Cala Hotel in Santa Eulalia and have just looked on their own website and it says tea & coffee making facilities are in the rooms. Can anyone confirm this please as it would save us taking our own kettle .
My mum and dad are at this hotel at the moment, they arrive back saturday. So I will let you know then. They have rung, and said the food is gorgeous! Any other questions you want me to ask them, just let me know!
Belly!
Hi BBB, thats great! thanks. Could you also ask them if they have any idea where the disabled rooms are situated.
Yes course I will serena. I did quite a bit of reasearch on this hotel/resort for them, as my dad is has a leg amputated, so a flat resort, was a must for them. Will catch up with them saturday when they get back, and let you know!
Just got of phone to my parents!
Here's what they said: Regarding the diabled rooms,- they said they had asked where they were located, and no-one seemed to know! - Although she said that all the rooms were disable friendly. There are only 4 floors (dining room on 1st floor)- with four lifts,- carpeted throughout (Keep out any loud heels!). The doors were double (double) glazed, and no sound whatsoever could be heard when closed! They were lucky enough to get a room with a double balcony which had the sun all day long, this room part overlooked the marina, and part overlooked the side street. She did not recommend a room which completely overlooked the main road/street, as it could be quite dusty/fumes etc... (would recommend emailing with a request for a room overlooking the marina). She said the food was the best they had had for a long time (and was on par with the ibrostar hotels). They said they had smoked salmon and caviaar one night!
The room had a kettle,- t-bags, sugar, bottled water, (on arrival), and there was a fridge in the room too!
She also said she would recommend this hotel to her friends, and family, and are planning to go back next year!
Hope this helps a bit serena
Have a lovely time
Belly
