Not sure, but very interested in any replies you may get, as I wouldn't mind taking some myself. The Goan bacon & sausages are not that great, so a bit of home stuff would be good.

My parents brought me some bacon over for me when I was in Goa and they had no problems at all and it tasted great!
We take vacuum packed bacon (asda) over to goa we dont freeze it as the suitcase is in the hold and is very cold anyway, also sausage, we havent had any problems we also take cheese, as we go for 4 months, its nice to have some english bacon, we freeze it when we get there.
A friend has brought cheese! :o) - Yummy! - Although you're not supposed to bring it in (there's a tick box on the immigration form... Although everybody does.. - Just incase anyone wants to bring cheese, or sausages just to try, then I'm more than happy to pretend to be from customs and take them off you!
The new style customs for asks you if you are bringing in any foodstuufs, presumably it would be confiscated if you told the truth. We take bacon and sausages and also cheese, but get everything vacuum packed at the butchers, this keeps it fresh. We bring it in, in a large tupperware container with an English fiver taped to the inside of the lid. The theory being that the customs officer would simply take the fiver if we were caught. Never lost the fiver yet though.
Sounds like you didn't get the sausages that I left for you then Rob if you have only had cheese, and a shame you missed out on the pound that I had for you at Lazy Days just in case you hadn't got the first lot, but no problem the Girls took them off my hands for me
I took sausage, bacon, cheese, beans, bread and Mistletoe in December and forgot to tick the box on the immigration form. This is a new form so I didn't know about it beforehand. I have a terrible memory lol so they may just find themselves in my suitcase at the weekend!
Really sorry I didn't make it to Lazy's It's such a long drive in the evening and I'm normally knackered, I also have to get up at 7am to take the kids to school in the morning so I find it a much nicer thought to collapse on my bed at night
Sorry, I did receive the sausages - They were LOVELY - I can't remember did you leave one or two packs at the house? I definately remembering getting through one pack very quickly! - They were absolutely gorgeous... If you dropped off two packs then I gave the other pack to Shermina so if she got some off you aswell (she definately didn't mention that!!!! - Typical! Last time I share with her!
Did you enjoy the Hypnotist show? SHermina said you were there, but I've got a terrible memory and I didn't want to make a fool of myself and say hello to the wrong person!!
I would like to say thanks for the food parcel (SO much) and of course for the clothes for the children.
I have decided to take the sausages and bacon. But what about the cans of cider, would they be safe and is it legal
thanx in advance

we took bacon & cheese in a cool box with a couple of freeze packs. The freeze packs were still frozen when we arrived via Mumbai so don't bother to freeze.
Any type of booze is ok so long as it is in your suitcase.
