I'm having a party for eurovision on Saturday night (sad i know but i love it:D).
Everyone is coming as one particular country and i'm of course Turkey. I have my bellydancing outfit and we are making food from Turkey, kebaps, kofte, baclava etc. but i want to make something else. I don't know it's name so can't find a recipe:
It's like a salsa, with finely chopped chilli, tomato and onion. They eat it with their pides and serve it with that yohurt dip. Does anyone know what i'm talking about because i love it?
Thanx guys, XXXXXXX

somebody mentioned Meze...this is a general name for starters..and there are hundreds in Turkish food...my favourite is humus..a puree from chick peas, also another one ceviz biber..crushed walnuts with hot chilli paste topped with nar ekÅŸisi..which is a thick sweet sour syrup made from pomegranates.
Imam Bayildi is hard to beat. That and Mercimak Corbasi.
reading all these is making me feel hungry.
JCarey 2536, could you possibly give me the recipe for the dish your wife makes, we are just back from Marmaris and all the family loved this!
