Noticed these croc things at the pool here in Qatar today,
they are really ugly you can get wooden clogs that look better.
Just came back from Jamaica , nearly everyone was wearing crocs - I think they are quite ugly and unflattering but I can imagine so comfy - I bought havainas flip flops with the Jamaican flag and I love them.
My beach shoes have arrived at last, just need tickets for holidays and I am set.
I have broad foot and dread shoe shopping of any kind, as Im so hard to fit. The only other ones that I find a good fit and comfy are FlyFlot, but love the look of the Crocs.
Has anyone bought from Taylors in America? Works out a lot cheaper 2 pairs at $39 and $30 plus p+p works out at £50.
Are US sizes the same as ours? Ie I take a uk6 so would I order the same?
Also, has anyone bought the Patras, they look really cool. My 15 yr old son is foaming at the mouth for a pair for our hols in July. And the Nile? Anyone bought these?
Tried to find a website with stockists in Nortern Ireland but to no avail.
If I could try a pair on first and then order them from the US, it would be great.
Any ideas you wonderful people??
Jilly
Wore my crocs to go shopping yesterday and they rubbed so much on my left foot(blister) have a pair of trainer socks on and am wearing them around the house as I wat to walk miles on holiday in June without the socks I may add.
Jilly, Do you live anywhere beside a Charles Clinkard shop they had lots in stock last week. CBG
Jillyjeep - the US sizes are definately not the same, I just bought flip flops in Jamaica , a US 6 and I wear size 4, an internet search will probably get you a size conversion chart.
I quite like the other styles and I'm sure they're as comfortable as the Caymans but they don't look Croc enough for me, they look like any other sandal.
We're off to the States in September and guess what I'll be looking out for?! Don't take up much room, very light and half the price of the ones in the UK!
Tip I learnt from a thread on HT a while ago works - try rubbing a dry oil (Johnsons dry baby oil for instance) across the area - works wonders.
I usually get a sore bit between my toes from toe post flip flops - used a dry oil one year and nothing!!
Give it a whirl.
Thanks Glynis I will give that a try, have been wearing them around the house with socks on.But socks and sandals outside I don't think so !
I am just back from dorset walked miles in them with no foot problems at all.I work in a staff canteen and I wear the proffesional crocs they are fantastic, cool and comfy.
got to go because me and my ever faithful crocs are off to devon now lol!!
ebay also have genuine crocs or copies for sale.
I'm all for comfort and having just got back from Lanzarote a couple of weeks ago I saw loads of people wearing them and lots of cheap versions in the shops over there but I couldn't bring myself to wear them EVER, I'd look like Olive Oyl
I'll be sticking to my Birkenstocks for comfort and more importantly style They're the best thing I've ever worn especially on holiday as they're very versatile and when I fancy a night without heels my Birkos look just as flattering in the evening as they do on the beach.......I don't think the same could be set of Crocs
hi calabona girl , no unfortunately we dont have clinkards here in NI, will just to have order on line.
However, I'm far from a 'shoe queen' so these are the trendiest things I've had on my feet in years.
I though will be lusting after new Birko designs instead
Miss_Chief...............a raving "Shoe Queen"
I keep seeing pics in mags of lovely shoes but most pairs I just think to myself 'ooh couldn't walk in them and besides what would they go with?'. Pathetic.
They looked great with her trousers.......perhaps I just don't like the look of em with shorts or a bikini as seen in Lanzarote She said she uses them all the time instead of ruining her slippers for hanging the washing, going to the recycling bin etc. etc. Oh and gardening. I was quite impressed and have just checked out some of the sites to look at the colours.....I think I could wear them around the house and garden for sure.....probably just not in public though
I could be the original converted one I'll let you know x
My children think i sleep in them as well.
Hi all. My sister has just returned from New Zealand with a pair of moc crocs which cost her a couple dollars. I've always thought crocs looked a bit chunky and uncomfortable but having tried them on I really liked them! Anyone know where you can get cheapo moc crocs here? Would like to try before I buy the real thing. Thanks.
