Hi all
Just got back and sorry did not get down to the area to check out the ongoing building works, as I have sold my property and the deal went through so fast I was caught with that and got no chance to relax again
One thing i did find out through friends who were booked into Seagull over the last 2weeks they were moved to the Anastatia further down due the the ongoing building works,
I am back over on 6th June and as all the legal work is now done I will have more time to check out the progress of the works. Thought you might like to find out about this is you are booked into the Seagull
They have said on the easterncyprus.com forum that the Blue Bay taverna is still there, which has pleased me greatly. We wanted to book the Seagull but there was no room, so it's perhaps just as well we couldn't get in. We still haven't booked any accommodation for September although we have the flights. Maybe it would be better to avoid that part of Pernera altogether, not sure whether the worst will be over by then. We are thinking of maybe going to Ayia Napa or the De Costa in Protaras for a change, or perhaps booking a villa.
Friends said some of the guests were still in the Seagull and said the noise was not to bad, I suppose it will depend what stage the building works are at when you visit,
Welcome back Elizabeth and congrats on the sale. That was pretty quick
They are building from the Seagull right down to just behind the Blue bay restaurant.
There is a lot going up very quickly and when I went past it was very noisy.
There is building works outside of the pernera beach hotel as well, the Thomson agent told me the other day.
Pubdog thanks 4 weeks from viewing to completion must be a record.
I am back over 6/06/07 so i will check out progress as well and report back to keep everyone up to date on the situation.
